Answers: Are/can they be true? Should we/I believe them?

I enjoy astrology very very much and I have read countless books and have read countless articles in the past 15 yrs and I would say in my opinion that the horoscopes are basically bogus!
If you are talking about the horoscopes you read in the newspaper/magazines then, yes, i believe they are nonsense. They are based on placing everyone in the world into 12 groups of signs and astrology goes much deeper. I follow astrology and I rarely read those horoscopes if only to laugh at them wondering how they came up with the stuff they come up with.

Sun cancer one out of evry 12 people have this placement...Now add in rising sign which can be any of the 12 signs..now you have 1 in 144 having such a combination..now add in moon sign and you then have 1 in every 1,728 people having those same configurations. I cannot see a newspaper or magazine printing 1,728 different horoscopes let alone an astrologer taking the time to do it.

Sure horoscopes can be done and somewhat accurate but it has to be done based on your DOB and time of birth and place of birth for any chance for a horoscope to be close to accurate. Daily horoscopes are hard to do even knowing those things. Astrology horoscopes are better at longer term forecasting like monthly at the very least. But sometimes they are lucky with their horoscopes because if they happen to nail it with 10% of that particular sign reading that day chances are they are wrong 90% of the time.

For me to even come close to doing a daily horoscope than once I know your birth chart and your house placements and sign placements then I could probably do one that would be eerily accurate to some degree. Like if you are a taurus with virgo rising and if the moon is in capricorn on a given day then I say with some certainity that you will have a fun easy going day doing things you love whatever that may be. Why because a capricorn moon would not only be harmonious to your taurus sun but it would be traveling thru your 5th house of leisure and entertainment.

as you can see astrology goes much deeper than the sun sign astrology which all horoscopes are based on. They have no way of knowing what any particular sign has as their house and rising sign placemnents which is very very important when writing up a horoscope.

There are childish ones and more mature ones. I am a qualified Astrologer, so I laugh at the stuff in newspapers and magazines and also at the silly cheap books at the drugstore. It takes some work to do a mature horoscope. Easy answers are never satisgfactory. Believe nothing without some proof.

I think there fun to check out but I have a friend that lives by them, I think you should be open minded and ultimately make your own decisions. My friend wants nothing to do with Scorpios, she says its her worst match?! I seriously think she's missing out on meeting a lot of cool people, I don't think you should exclude people from you life because of their sign. So I say have fun with it, read your horoscope but don't take it too seriously!

The question is do you want to blindly "believe" or would you want evidence so you can "know"?

Believing is easy, little time and energy is needed. Taking the time to examine all points of view pro or con takes time and effort. If you ask the how's and why's here, with any skepticism, you may be treated as hostile. No matter how long they have "studied", none can come up with any evidence that pass scientific testing.
Belief is vital. Astrology can not survive (or make millions) without. If it has truth, belief is a non factor.
