Whats been your experience with your Gemini guy ?!
Question: Depending on your own Sun sign and birthchart, you either love or hate a Gemini guy! There's just no in between. Well, I am a Capricorn and my best friend is Gemini. In terms of friendship, we get along just great, partly beacuse he does have an earth Ascendent and Moon sign, which complements my earth personality in some ways.
Nevertheless, Gemini Sun Sign males are often highly restless and fickle- minded by nature. They can appear two-faced or unreliable, although this is hardly their fault or intentional, due to the ever-changing whims of their ruling planet, Mercury. They do however, make great communicators and are often blessed (or coursed) with the gift of the gab. They are curious about their surroundings and the people around them but are the proverbial "Jack of all trades, master of none".
Gemini men are one of the hardest to pin down as they are rebellious when it comes to affairs of the heart and do not usually follow the well-trodden path in terms of heart matters, unless they have a more stabilising Moon or/and Ascendent sign. They are witty and make excellent conversationalists and especially for earth signs, they provide a good listening ear and helps to lighten the serious moods that we often burden ourselves with.
Geminis are supposed to get along best with their fellow Air signs - Libras and Aquarius and the Fire Signs - Leos, Aries, althoug this is a generalization. Personally, I get along just fine with Air signs and they seem to dominate my social circle as well.

at their worst, they can be manipulative, abusive, lie, hurtful...have also found they are inconsistent...can't stick to anything...

I agree with Hwee Ng to a certain extent. Cos I am also a capricorn and my best guy friend is also a gemini.
Gemini guys are easy-going, but sometimes too easy-going to the extent that they seem to be fickle-minded. They don't really know what they want, be it career or relationships. Hence, they take a longer time to make up their minds. But during the decision making process, they change their minds quite frequently. They like to appear strong and confident in a group setting, but when you get to talk to them on a one-to-one basis, you will realise that they can also be weak and vulnerable and possess low confidence and morale.
By the way, my best gal friend is also a gemini.
