How are horoscopes predicted ?!

Question: There are a couple of different methods of predictive astrology:

First off, you have the solar progressed chart, in which each day after the native is born is counted as a year in the life of the native. I'm pretty sure you can do a lunar progressed chart as well...

Next, you've got transits. So, seeing what aspects the planets' current positions make to the native's natal chart.

You can also combine the two methods. So, seeing what transitting aspects are occuring in your progressed chart.

There's also the solar return chart, which is created by drawing a chart for the day and time of the year when the sun is in the exact some degree that it was in the day you were born. So basically a chart drawn for your birthday (give or take a day) each year, which will give you a general idea of what the coming year will be like.

I suppose it could be posible to use a solar return chart in tandem with transits as well.

There are others, but these are the main ones used.

Horoscope are not predicted, but used in prediction.
Horoscope is the astronomy chart at the time and place of the birth.
It shows at what degree the zodiac was rising at the horizon, and the position of planets. In Indian vedic astrology, 2 imaginary planets - called Rahu & Ketu are also added.
In my opinion, this chart is used to give results - as per past statistical data.
For example, I have seen a certain medical problem when saturn and mars are in the 4th house. This I have seen in about 26 horoscopes - out of 27 that had the similar combination.
There appears to be no logic - on how and why the planets affect these and why should a specific medical problem be there - but it is there.
So what to me is - just that historically and statistically - it is there and so that is used by the astrologers for prediction.
Interestingly - all science all starts that way - get repeated data - make correlations, and finally think through the logic or reasoning.
May be some day - we will get there.

Actually, bottom line, it's all based on mathmatical calculations. Once those are made, it depends upon the competence of the individual astrologer to interpret those calculations.
