Hmm, taking into account that I was born in the Capricorn-Aquarius cusp and that I have quite a great influence of Aquarius as well as Capricorn in my chart, I guess I'm actually a little bit of both (at least I think so...) And, yes I have a hard time deciding if I should use the Capricorn or Aquarius "mode"...It's not that I care about what others would think of my behaviour(not with my Ascendant!) .. It's actually because I want to have some balance in my life (this is statement is so Libran, btw!) and it takes me some time to make up my mind...!!!
My sun sign characteristics definitely take precedence over my rising sign. Then again my rising sign is leo, so I'm going to have a strong sun. Basically, my rising sign really only reflects the first impression that people get of me and my physical characteristics. Doesn't come close to scratching the surface of who I really am.
Although, to be fair, I do have a certain fondness for mirrors, and that can only be leo.
I suppose my sun and rising sign really aren't going to compete with each other, though because they're both fire, so this could be another reason that I don't neccessarily feel that pull between the two.

I don't really get some parts of your question.....but Ok. Lol. Well, my Sun sign cancer I definitely feel the most over my asc scorpio because I am more aware of it. For my ascedant, I would say that it I am indeed, all the way that it is suggested a Scorpio asc is, totally...but the thing is unless I'm told/reminded about them I'm not exactly aware that I'm doing this. I'm not very aware of how I analyze the world around me and my view of the world....I just do..you know? I just think you get me? We are often not too aware of our perspective and how it differs from others'. I guess the reason might be because we cannot tell what others' perspectives are very clearly, in general. I think I read about that somewhere about how 1st and 7th house energies, you weren't ever really conscious of because they were so much an innate part of your identity that you're just not conscious of it. I think, from what I remember, that it was with the 1st house we tend to project those energies in ourselves onto others (Like I'm scorpio asc...I do tend to think ppl are analyzing/scrutinizing me a lot just trying to figure me out in general...) and with 7 house energies you try to look for them in other people, but it turns out those energies already exist in you? something like that heh, I think I saw that info on http://astrologyforthesoul.com/cours.htm... so you can look yourself if you're really interested. Anyway, my point is you're not supposed to be as aware of ur asc traits as u are of your sun sign traits because the asc (or first house ruler...in case u didn't know!) is much more subconscious than the sun sign. To give you an example of how this affected me: when I read about my asc in scorpio I was like...hey you're right I DO do that, don'T I?? lol. With my asc it was a little harder for me (than it would've been with my sun sign, for example.) to be like OK That asc is me (I could easily tell I am a Cancer and NOT an aries or saggitarius, for example.)..because i did have to sort of choose between libra and scorpio at one point bc it was really close (but then i figured out how to get the precise and exact asnwer..and it did turn out to be scorpio btw =]) and I wasn't sure if i was like libra or scorpio asc...b/c they both fit..but now i realize that i am much more like a scorpio ascendant. I mean, I am definitely THE detective in eVEry situation.
Oh and ..then on the other hand with my sun sign I was like tear tear omg that is so true yet I totally had been conscious about all these things about myself before. And the reason why i say tear tear (implying it stirred strong emotions in me) is because it was the recognizing of these traits of the way that i am and the way that I tended to act (which I had already objectively noticed about myself/or at least defined myself by or as) ON paper and on the internet....On a source that could not possibly know anything about me. It was amazing to see that somebody could know me so well. But my point is that it stirred my emotions precisely because i was reading traits about myself which I had already previously acknowledged and consciously noticed that I did. I think with the asc the traits of our perspective on the world are more subconscious because we can't see how other people perceive the world and so we just tend to think that others are perceiving it the same way as us. So, because there isn't this in-your-face everyday affirmed contrast between our own and others' perspectives it just becomes/stays a very subconscious thing which we never really think about UNTIL somebody points it out to us and says HEy Look you're a scorpio ascendant ..or you have pluto in your first house...You have the tendency to want to play detective in just about every situation! I hope ou guys get what I'm saying here. Pretty sure I cleared it up pretty well now that I reedited.

" I sort of have to disagree with that because my scorpio ascendant, after reading really really into what it meant all over the internet...I realized that it Did have a Lot to do with who I really was. I mean something that describes the way/the attitude with which You approach most situations is gonna describe a big part of your identity. It describes your outlook on the world. Basically a Cancer with w/ a Gemini or Libra or Aquarius asc or even just sagg asc is gonna have a Much much friendlier and easygoing outlook on the world and isn't gonna be all that concerned with "Hmm I wonder what she's thinking," really..Like I am most of the time, I guess. (me being a scorpio asc.) Anyway they kind of just suspect people less and don't feel like they ahve to play detective with them like i do b/c they just don't have that curiosity....they much more prefer to mind their own business. Lol. So yeah, I just wanted to add that the asc is much more than just how other people are perceiving you. It describes your basic outlook on the world and your attitude towards life in general! = Big thing!! :)Take care.
Haven't thought about it as such. Feelings, mood swings, temprement, stubbourness are all traits of the aquariun sign. However, if these are in a particular reading and are partaining to actual real-life happenings then I should know more about them..but I don't.
Am amazed sometimes the scale of such readings..but again, am not that well versed in how they are created nor how they do relate..all seem techy..though am willing to learn should you have any tips on where and how to.
My ascendant is wayy stronger than my sun sign. I feel so much like a scorpio that I even forget I'm really a gemini. I have gemini characteristics, but I'm alot more of a scorpio than gemini.
I completely feel my sun sign, but sometimes I do see how my rising sign (Taurus, although once I was told it was Gemini) is part of my personality. I don't believe I go between the two, but I think of it more as a little mix of the other sign.
im a cancer with cap rising. mostly im a cancer but since lately theres been a lot of spontaneity as well as assertiveness in me so thats definitely the aries moon in me. so for me, im usually struggling to recognize which is cancer and aries of me. my words and actions surprises myself and others! cause you know a cancer and aries are sooo different. so nope, im nowhere close to exhibiting caps traits. maybe this years for the moon? i dunno, but i wouldnt really mind if i could adopt some discipline and practicality from my cap rising sign. =)
I do not have any idea about my rising sun, but if you are describing an aquarian, you are definitely describing me.
i don't like my rising sign i think its boring, it has some good caracteristics, but they aren't compatible with the ones of my sun sign, .......mmm really i don't know how i more feel i think sometimes i am like one and sometimes like the other, but what i know is people that watch me from far describes me as my ascendent sign, when they know me the charm they once had brokes... good question.
My sun sign is Scorpio, my rising sign is Libra. Sometimes I relate to the Libra characteristics the most. One example, I notice when there's an argument between two people, I try to be the peacemaker and get it resolved without taking sides.
But it does shift between the two. At times I prefer quiet, alone time, which I think is associated with Scorpio.
I'm a Pisces and my moon is Gemini and i feel mostly like a Pisces because I'm so emotional...

OMG yes i feel that all the darn time its funny, Im a scorpio female with rising and moon and mars in saggitarius, my deep character definitly is being jelous in love and posessive yes i can be and controling and very loyal when inlove and devoted, however my saggie side kicks in alot i have a need for freedom also and get bored in relatoships and then ifeel the need to be close its weird i like to posess but dont like to be posessed i love freedom and scared to go down the Ile just the thought of it i can be stable then unstable its weird
Yes...definitely...I exhibit both characteristics of my sun sign and rising even though they're complete opposite...pisces and virgo, respectively.....but I notice that when i'm alone or i'm with the people i trust...i exhibit characteristics of pisces but when i'm in a big crowd...i'm totally a virgo...
As my sunsign and raising sign are the same...I'd say I'm drowning in a sea of Aquarius that is me!
