i am a virgo and i also have a wall up. i guess we are mostly like that. i'm not saying every virgo though but i can relate to your girlfriend. maybe she has had a though past on love (like me) and virgos tend to be really sensitive. Just let her know that you are there for her, comfort her, and don't pressure her. trust me, that always works. and remember, once you have her trust, she will trust you forever. don't let her down and work for the things you truly want. or else life would be boring and not be challenging at all. :)

For remodeling a house, or a garage, or a backyard - putting up walls to keep pets safe - a beefy Virgo girl is the best help money can buy. But they get really ticked off if the check bounces.
well....I'm a Virgo and we tend to be very sheltered and its hard to gain our trust,don't give up on her don't be so pushy that can cause her to put a tougher shell around her heart

I've found the tenderhearted virgos do this.. and they will do this with people I think they have feelings for...
