Aquarian sun sign and scorpio rising?!

Question: I have hard time understanding myself even without astrology. I half believe it, and half think it's all b.s. Apparently, I've got strong air and water qualities with least amount of earth. Anyways, what does having an aquarius as sun, mercury, venus sign and scorpio as both moon, rising, and mars sign mean? should i just continue to be confused out of my mind?

The elemental combination of Water and Air may not be the easiest one to reconcile as they come from such very different perspectives. The Air element belongs to the 'thinker' category and lives primarily through the mental exchanges and intellectual stimulation. Establishing good healthy relationships through mental rapport/exhcnaing ideas etc in one's social circle is essential for you to feel confident about yourself.

On the other hand, if you also have significant water placements in your chart, you will take on the sensitivity, emotionalism and moodiness portrayed by the water signs. Eastablishing meaningful emotional relationships is vital to your well-being and you avoid superficiality at all costs. Thus, this conflicts with the Airy element of wanting to relate on a more superfcial, less serious tone. I can totally empathise with the conflicitng energies arising with you.

In a nutshell, having an Aquarius Sun, Mercury, Venus means that you are essentially a forward-thinking, freedom-loving individual who is attracted to unconventionality and uniqueness in others. You are inherently sociable and tend to have a wide circle of acquaintances and friends. HOWEVER, this clashes with your Scorpion needs (Moon) to connect/bond with each other on a one-to-one basis. Scorpio is the most intense and one of the most emotional, sensitive signs in the zodiac and this doesn't go well with your Aqaurian personality traits at all. You crave intimacy and one-on-one bonding yet at the same time are repulsed by it and insist on your freedom.

With a Scorpion rising, it also means that the signals you put out to the world out there doesn't resonate with your true core essence of being an Aquarius. You certainly appear more reserved and intropsective than most typical Aquarians. This may be confusing for not only yourself, but others as well. They are unlikely to form an accurate first impression of you. This certainly makes you a rather complicated partner.

In my experience, the best way to reconcile the conflicitng elements within yourself is to take time out and focus on what you want vs. what you need. Most people are afterall 'loopsided' in elemental makeup (i am too) but we all need to learn to work with what qualities we have been bestowed with. Having heavy water placements in your chart certainly makes you a much more senstive individual aware of others' needs, and that is a very GOOD sign.

One thing for sure is that you need to alternate this need to express the Air and Water facets of you at different times. You could inform your partner or associates first before just detaching from others suddenly (Aquarian tendency). Just know that there are different wants and needs in you and they just need to be expressed in different ways at different times. Learn to accept and embrace yourself as a WHOLE and don't feel depressed or confused if you go offtrack every now and then. Focus on what you are willing to forego in order to obtain something else you want. Maturity should bring reconciliation fo these conflicitng forces eventually.

Good luck with your self-development and inner search!
