Astrology was founded in belief of many mythical deity images. It's been around for millennia in many contradicting forms. It seems to be sustained largely among women who selectively remember hits and like hearing about themselves. Scientific studies on different astrological scheme have found no ability to predict personality type, marital success or deaths.
The main reason it still around is the huge amount of money spent on astrology. Hundreds of millions on an ancient, bigoted, made up, belief oriented, unproven concept.

i generally find that all of them apply to my life in some way, they are random and vague so no i dont believe in them.
Its weird cause im not really superstitious, but when i ready my horoscope.. its true in immense detail.. that trips me the f*ck out.

Funny I discussed that with a friend... I don't fix my life on what people supposedly say... I live and learn and it's been better for me that way!
I DONT BELIEVE IN THE DAILY HOROSCOPE THING, BUT WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT YOUR SIGN I DO BELIEVE BECAUSE WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT MY SIGN IS ALL TRUE ABOUT ME, AND THEN I READ THE OTHER SIGNS AND THEY DONT MATCH UP TO ME.
There may well be something in them but because it can't be proved many people see it as a easy way of earning money, and vunerable people can be exploited by being told random predictions. Personally i think it is a load of crap, i could make up a star sign if i wanted, anyone can.

well i think that horoscopes are not true. they just write stuff down that people want to hear. but who knows maybe they are true. i preferably don't belive in them i just like to read them.
I think we make ourselves believe, like if it says "you will come into money" and you find a quarter on the ground you will be like "WOW my horoscope told me I would come into money" But if you didnt read that you wouldnt think anything of it. Now if you won the lotto thats a lil different

Nope. Total load of bull. Seen countless examples that go against the horoscopes compatibility stuff, and quite frankly some of the descriptions they give are SO vague that they're easy to apply to anyone, and otherwise it's just a guess. There's not even a unified source for them, any shmuck can write a horoscope. I used to check my horoscope when I was bored, and it was either so vague it could be applied to half the days in my life or it didn't happen at all.
Bottom line- it's guessing. The reason people believe it is because they tend to forget about it if it doesn't happen, but get creeped out when it does. If some loon tells you that you're going to come into a great sum of money, and you don't, then you think nothing of it. If the loon tells you that you're going to come into a great sum of money and youfind a one-hundred dollar bill ten minutes later, you're going to assume he knew something. Problem is, the people who believe in it forget that guesses, by nature, WILL be right at least part of the time- the more vauge the guess, the better the chance of such. Reading horoscopes can be entertaining, but it's really nothing more than a parlor trick to fool easily manipulated minds.

What I've been told is that most of the stuff that they say is mostly to fit almost everybody's life so it seems like its true when you read it.
A while back in school my friend was reading her horoscope (I don't remember what she is) and she was like "OMG its SOOOOO true" and I'm an Aries...and I read HER horoscope and it related to me too.
So its all just bull, fun stuff to read. Not true.
Well my mom does, there is this lebanese lady in the middle east that is right on target, it kind of creepy.
No I dont believe in it and you should know if you are compatable with someone or not.They only want your money so dont go there.
Personally since its against my beliefs its wrong. But sometimes i read it just for the fun of it or just to see what it says. But sometimes I'm not going to lie sometimes those horoscopes are kind of close at times. I don't read into it to much. I feel like if I do it will control my life on who I should speak to and who I back away from. Because not everyone under the same sign acts the same way.
