I took lessons in it for over a year at a good school. My books say that Sun signs are irrelevant in compatibility. One must look deeper than that. Synastry is the part of Astrology that determines compatibility. To do that for anyone, I must see both people's full charts. Aspects of key planets and certain houses are what matter in love.
I was actually expecting a challenge here with a question like that... imagine my disappointment. :(
It's really not just about the sun signs; synastry requires to look at the entire chart. So capricorn and leo can go either well or turn out to be the worst combination ever, depending on how many *good* aspects lie between the charts of the two of you.
I know you were probably expecting an answer somewhere along the lines of simply "yes" or "no", but either one of those answers would only be guessing. And I wouldn't want to guess about someone's feelings.
