Why is it assumed by religious fanatics that people who have differing opinions !

Question: I happen to be a preacher who has learned not to judge god by my thoughts and abilities and as a prophet of god there are things that have been revealed
to me through dreams visions and even audibly that most people wouldn;t understand but you are not supposed to under stand everything you are supposed to follow god where ever he leads regardless of whether people agree with you or not do you think people understood jesus when he did his miracles and began teaching his concepts no they didn't which is one reason the pharisees tried to suppress it because it was foriegn to them and what people don't understand they reject even if what they don't understand is the means for god to aid them and ultimately they miss god because they expected him one way and he came from some where else thats why I look for god in everything church is important for strengthening you but if you don't live
a clean and holy lifestyle outside of church its just as bad as bowing down to a piece of wood

Why did you take the time to so eloquently put down your thoughts this way and then refuse to use any punctuation? I tried to read it and make sense of it all. It did make good sense, but it was difficult to read like you wrote it. You make excellent points that will be overlooked by many due to the difficulty in reading what you wrote. Someone will no doubt comment in more negative words than this, I am trying to be kind to you and simply point this out. Anything worth doing is worth doing well. And I do feel that speaking up for God is worth doing! Perhaps if you truly want to provoke another person's thoughts and get them to hear what it is you are trying to say, you will consider doing so in another way the next time. I totally agree with your ideas, just not with your method of getting out the words. Peace

probably 'cos people don't like change. nothing to do with much other than really. all in all, nearly everyone believes in some kind of 'being' who started everything, even if they dont believe it to be 'god' or some kind of scientific anomoly, either way can't prove it.
another reason i think is because the fanatics only want to know what is being preached not anything newer than they are used to, which goes back to my first point :p lol.

You can get the name preacher from mail order. Reading your statement makes me wonder about you.

You are a complete wacko. Nice statement although it makes no sense. I don't think there is one period in the whole paragraph.

Why are you posting these questions in the "Horoscopes" section and not in the "Religion & Spirituality" section?

Apart from that, I agree; you don't have to go to your church/temple/synagogue/shrine of choice to be religious. It's all in your way of life. However I do feel it comes more from force of habit than anything else (which those religious fanatics don't seem to realise) Before the monotheistic religions, shrines were built for every deity. People who wanted that deity's assistance or advice, felt themselves forced to go to the local shrine dedicated to that deity and leave some offerings there. It was more of an idea that the deity actually lived there, or that it was a gateway between the land of the gods and the land of the human beings. So that was the only place believed that such a deity could collect the offerings given to them, so that they would hear your prayer loud and clear - if any offerings would be left in the field, the deity wouldn't have found them and not answered any prayers.

Even though nowadays we don't give many offerings (apart from the money people give every sunday) we still have the impression that to get the god's approval or assistance, we have to go to his 'shrine'.

However, before monotheistic religions, in the Northern European area, there weren't many shrines or temples around. The people who lived there were religious, just like the rest of the world's population back then - everyone believed in something; they had to, it were dangerous times - but instead of offering to temples, they offered to nature. And said prayers in the form of spells. They could be done anywhere, providing they had the right equipment. But a temple was unnecessary in those areas.
