Why do some people believe so much in horoscopes?!
Question: well, let me tell ya buddy. i AM an astrology (not horoscope) believer....no secret there!! im pretty sure you meant to say "Why do some people believe so much in ASTROLOGY?"
why? because i have always had an interest in it, i opened my heart and my mind to it, and i actually found some TRUTH to it! (if you get my drift here, im not talking about reading bogus horoscopes from newspapers).....i have found much more truth believing in astrology than i ever did when i was a Catholic!
astrology doesnt discriminate ANYBODY, it is inclusive, it does not cause wars, it is NOT a religion! truth is, there are people who really do believe, like me. accept that, just like we accept others putting their beliefs where they feel most comfortable. i am most comfortable putting my belief in astrology.
now you tell me, if youre a religious person (no problem with that), just why do you put your belief into religion??

IDK, but I don't believe in horoscopes. And I don't see a real reason for ppl to belive in them.

Look I said their curious because they'll look at one, research and start to believe it.
It's of choice basically.

Why do some people believe in any given religion? Why do some people believe in aliens?
It's ultimately all down to your basic existential fear of futility and solitude, as well as the fear of death and the unknown. Most humans need to believe there is some purpose to things, and/or that there is someone or something out there besides us. Some guiding principle. Most people will simply reject the idea that there is no meaning of life, there is no benevolent entity looking out for us, that our perceived reality is just a bunch of stuff that happens without rhyme or reason.
Most people simply need something to believe in to make it through the day.
You must remember most people are like sheep and without a shepherd they are quite lost. In that, at least, Christian symbolism was right on the money.
Of course, it really becomes hilarious when you see people who are really into one system of random beliefs adamantly reject others as being silly or even stupid :-D
i think that people really dont believe in the horoscope but they dod it because its fun and interresting to see what yours says......i look at mine sometime for the fun, but i dont believe that any of that stuff is true.....just a myth

Not only is astrology belief important for them, it MUST work for them. Some people don't want to be in control of there own lives. So they let an ancient, bigoted, and irrational concept do it for them. In that way, it is a religion. But like a religion it is lack of evidence that is the main flaw.
