In your astrology chart what means to have a planet in retrograde or direct moti!

Question: When a planet is retrograde, the person’s developmental process that is associated with that planet often has some timidness or backwardness to it, but it also often has a particular sensitivity and depth to it. At least some of a natal planet’s energy is always directed toward outward expression, but when the planet is retrograde, part of its vitality is directed inward, away from the world.

To a great extent, the person’s expression of that planet develops away from the influence of society and social interaction, more independently from it than planets that are not retrograde. It’s as if that function is spooked into hiding, wary of how the world will treat it if it came out into the open. The planet expresses itself more quietly, but it could still express itself powerfully.

The greater the number of planets that are retrograde in a chart, the more all of this is likely to apply. Many of the person’s functions are involved, possibly including his or her:

-thinking, intellectual self-expression or use of the five senses (Mercury)

-creativity or social gracefulness or sense of attractiveness (Venus)

-expression of an active demeanor or asserting oneself (Mars)

-faith in oneself and life (Jupiter)

-self-discipline or self-sufficiency (Saturn)

-individuality or autunomous thinking (Uranus)

-psychic sensitivity (Neptune) and/or

-expression of one’s personal power or speaking the truth as one sees it (Pluto).

Note that: The Sun and the Moon are never retrograde.

Planets in retrograde motion appear to be moving backwards through the zodiac. Actually, they're really just moving slower than the earth is.

Planets in direct motion are moving the correct way through the zodiac.

Planets in retrograde tend to express themselves in a more subtle, subconscious way than planets in direct motion.

Also, when you have a natal planet in retrograde, that planet can tend to express itself more strongly in transit when it's retro as well.

Retrogression of planets is totally based on the universal rule of physics. When you are moving on a train, you have experience that the entire earth and objects on this, is moving away from you. Then for a moment you could forget that actually the train is moving and this is only an illusion to you that other objects with respect to the train moving.
Similar is the situation with retrogression of planets. When the planets are moving faster with respect to the earth, then planets seems moving forward but when earth moves faster with respect to other planets it seems that they are lagging behind or moving in opposite direction. this is reffered as retrogression of planets in the Astrological term.

For predictive point of view there is no meaning of retrogression of planets either to the natal chart or horary chart. Some advance level of astrologers who follows Krishnamurthi Paddhati (K. P.) don't understand this basic fact that planet gives the result according to the position of its star lord in the zodiac. every planet contain a special quantum of energy as per the zodiacal position. so here is nothing meant by retrogression. for accurate prediction by the method of true stellar method, one can refer to site http://www.stellarastrology.com
