I heard that there are actually 13 zodiac signs now. Is this true?!

Question: That would mean that horoscopes have the potential to be more accurate and that everyone's horoscope sign should probably be something different.

Answers: That would mean that horoscopes have the potential to be more accurate and that everyone's horoscope sign should probably be something different.

According to the boundaries for the constellations adopted by the International Astronomical Union in 1921, there are 13 signs of the zodiac instead of the usual 12; time from Ophiuchus the snake handler is usually included in time given to Scorpius. If you already know your astrological sign from reading an astrology column in a newspaper or from consultation with an astrologer, you may be surprised that few of these dates correspond to the dates listed in the newspaper's astrological column. Why? Generally, listed astrological signs and the dates given by most astrologers assume that you were born around 140 AD.

Also there is no evidence that astrology is no more than about 3,000 years old.

I'm not sure about that. I think there always was one constellation that intersected. To me the constellations have no real impact on astrology. They are images drawn to reflect a quality. The zodiac also shifts over time in relation to the earth because of the earths wobble. My chart is quite accurate, so they must be doing something right. But astrology is still growing. We do have a new Pluto-like object to deal with, if it is not too far away to effect us. I'm afraid I don't believe the constellations actually effect astrology except as reference points.

There are 48 personology distinctions. Try the book "The Secret Language of Birthdays" it is the most accurate book out there for armature astrologists. Horoscopes are based solely on a person's sun sign and do not take into account where the other planets are in their chart, so they cannot be 100% accurate, the only way to get an accurate horoscope is from your birth chart.
Best of luck

never heard of that

In addition to the 12 in astrology, the Sun also passes through Ophiuchus.

These listed below are the Constellations of the Zodiac, in order of stellar motion.

Pisces,
Aries,
Taurus,
Gemini,
Cancer,
Leo,
Virgo,
Libra,
Scorpius
Ophiuchus.
Sagittarius,
Capricornus
Aquarius

Astrology has a recorded history dating back 24,000 years. The division of the 12 signs came later, but as a symbolic system, 12 signs have been around for quite some time and modern astrology sticks to that system.

BTW Libra is not an animal sign

NO, are there 13 months in a year, NO again.

13 constellations on the strip that makes up the zodiac wheel. Probably more.

However the wheel has its base point right here on earth and has nothing to do with the constellations. SO THERE IS NO 13TH ZODIAC SIGN!!!!
