Sun signs are irrelevant in Synastry. It is not that simple. Aspects of Venus and 3 Houses related to relationships are waht count here. My lover miyuki is a Gemini, and i am cancer near leo.

usually, when you look at compatibility in terms of people, it's much better to look at moon sign since that is the sign indicating what you truly are.
unless you were born in southern hemisphere, your moon sign would be on cancer or leo. Unfortunately, because I don't know your place of birth or time of birth, I can't tell you whether or not you are one or the other.

my closest friends tend to have water or earth element as their moon sign (i myself am a scorpio moon), even if their sun sign's something like scorpio or leo (which usually do not get along with aquarius), if their moon sign and my moon sign are compatible, it seems to work out.
