What does this Astrology House Cusp Mean?!

Question: House III in Capricorn

I notice at work I am a hard worker. I am quick to learn something new and once I learn nothing stops me, but does this have to involve this HOUSE CUSP? What does this house mean?

or could anyone please explain in better detail?
I'm just confused and very needy for a HELPFUL answer :)
Thank You

The 3rd house represents the area of intelligence, brothers & sisters, books, literature etc....
The sign on the cusp, in this case Capricorn, will influence the nature of this intelligence by tinting it with its own traits.

Thus, capricorn in 3rd gives a certian political surrounding of some sort; a very conservative mind and gives concentration and much persevering. The person will rarely undergo trips and if he/she does, they will be important ones.

The house placement of the ruler Saturn would indicate the area where 3rd house matters would play.
The nature of the aspect the planet receives will determine the outcome, good or bad, of those matters.

I don't have any other info as to houses and aspects so will leave it at that. The fact you say that you are a very hard worker would make me think that Saturn was in the 6th house......i am just assuming.

One thing is certain, whatever Saturn does is always serious, long-lasting, and never enitrely over until you have learnt his lessons well.

Whatever you acquire by house placement..... YOU will have earned it because Saturn doesn't give freebies. Even in your education, the person here has to dig out an education for him or herself.

ONE LAST THOUGHT.. Capricorn here rules the intellect perse but, Mercury and Gemini, the natural ruler will have their say in this matter also.

yea i know it could get really confusing figuring out whats triggering this and that, it could be your sun your mars or your ascendant.

but the House cusps are more inclinations, sometimes it just happens, the only easy way to see them in action is by looking at your past. I have Saggitarius in III and im always looking for new ideas and im easily bored so i need more information, and i wasnt really aware of it.

yea it plays a part in your life and how you develop your ways of thinking

Capricorn in III could mean learning more on the practical side, anything that you can work on or producing something of. you might be calculative too

House III in Capricorn
hard time at school or siblings act mature.
Stable.
Old neighborhood...
old car.

Something like that.

House III in Sagittarius.... could mean...
Religious neighborhood, or go to school far away,
or religious school, religious siblings...
Travel nearby.

Depend on the aspect...

The "houses of the horoscope" refers to a twelve part division that begins with the Ascendant or your Rising Sign. Although the size of each house can vary a great deal, the 360 degree circle is divided into these twelve parts. The sign on the cusp of the Ascendant (Rising Sign) and the subsequent 11 house cusps make up what may be called the Rising Sign Overlay Pattern. After you understand this summary, you can start building your overlay pattern by clicking on the house cusp reading from the menu on left column of this page.

The Ascendant/Rising Sign/First House cusp is calculated to an exact degree based on the precise moment of birth. To understand the full meaning of what your Ascendant tells, you must understand that this moment of birth places an influence on each of twelve areas of the life or houses of the horoscope. Each of the subsequent signs consists of thirty degrees, one twelfth of the circle.

The Rising sign overlay begins with the Ascendant or the first house of the chart. On the chart, this is point at the left side of the horizontal center. Moving counter-clockwise from there, the twelve houses of random size continue to complete the ring.

The differing size of the houses sometimes results in the same sign appearing on the cusp of consecutive houses, since the signs always consist of exactly 30°. This is not unusual at all, and when it occurs on one side of the chart, it must again occur on the opposite side. When a house is very large, i.e. larger than just one sign, it often occurs that a sign is contained within a house without appearing on either cusp line. These signs that are excluded from appearing on any cusp are said to be intercepted (in the house). Some astrologers believe that the sign on the cusp and the intercepted sign are co-rulers of the house.
