You could just start practising it, or you could go to a college where they actually can let you study it and give you a degree - because degrees just look better on the wall.
As for becoming a famous one, you don't necessarily need to be good for that. Either you just charm the public (like Mystic Meg...) or you write books and gain fame through knowledgeability.
Simple. Just prove that it works, win a million with the JREF prize, and from then on you can name your fee.
Just know that to be a great astrologer it takes YEARS and YEARS of studying. Like 20 years or more. Seriously. This is also what i would love to do because in my spare time and every chance i get i read about it, i am hooked!
