I am Aquarius. I think aquarius is the wisest sign. Pisces is not. Pisces has more connection with spirituality which connect this world with other world. So in this world, I think aquarius is the wisest.
however, I think there are something that i think we should also understand:
1, Aquarius is wisest because their task is "bring wisdom/knowledge to humanity". A aquarius doctor may not only give you prescription, but also share his/her knowledge to you. Aquarius hair dress may give you a lot of knowledge of how you can make your hair beautiful, what's the theory behind hair dressing, etc. Instead of just doing your hair. "Bring knowledge, sharing wisdom, giving advice" is happening every corner of this world by Aquarius people. Other sign people may know more, but they may not have the interest sharing them 24/7.
2, wise does not 1-to-1 link to success, especially financial wealth. There are lots of qualities we need in this world other than wisdom. Sometimes, hard working without thinking produce more fruit than simply "understand how it works very well". Aquarius actually lack some key qualities that make people wealthy.
3, Wisdom are not always useful. Just look what I am writing here, what I know regarding to this question does no way bring my any income to finance my life. Aquarius people pay lots of attention in different part of life to seek wisdom instead of tangible fruits, results.
But yes, we are the wisest. Sometimes too wise to be interested in this material world.

Nope.....Pisces is considered the dustbin of all the signs. All the faults go there. Seriously.
Pisces govers drugs, cigarettses, needles etc.... and look at the influence it has today.
Not that Pisces are bad people but what i have described is rules by Pisces and Neptune.

Aquarius loves to be with people but loves his solitude also. They are very original in their manner of dressing and makeup. They break the rules of conventionality. They love the humanitarian aspect of the world.

Yes, Pisces, I know that Pisces have the qualities of all of the signs...they are extremely spiritual, adaptable, and of course intelligent. As for Aquarius, I'm not sure if this is a good measure...but I've always been in advanced classes, honors, and IB in high school--and most of my classmates always had birthdays between January and February.
I've heard that as the ladder goes down, the signs do become more evolved, for instance Pisces and Aquarius. They aren't the wisest, but they are evolved and they recieve their personalities from the signs before them, negative and positive.
Aquarius is the "wisest" mentally and Pisces is the "wisest" emotionally. Pisces is NOT the dustbin of the zodiac. An evolved Pisces is the total package and is the prize of the Zodiac.
Aries have more of a primitive approach, theyre the last sign in the zodiac with animal instincts.
Pisces on the other hand, you dont call them wise, why?
coz theyre in a whole different level, compassion for every living thing, giving a hand, helping others, knowing other peoples needs, intuition, know exactly how you feel in that point in time, its a gift and thats what we need right now, Pisces dreams and its leaps of faith.

I am aquarius ( jan 27) and sorry for that saying " we are the best of all" . lol no we are the most spiritual and most wise. But we aquarius lack endurace and willpower. There is no such thing is the best. All signs have their own attributes. To be honest we aquarius are one of the most unbalance sings since we are high on mind while we ignore our other abilities.
To my experiences Pisces aren't bright as Aquarius, however Aquarius aren't as nice as Pisceans are, I think the wisdom part is better off lead by the Water Bearers.

Pisces' saying of course i s.. "I believe." as they have turned from the realm of the the mind to the realm of feelings and intuition. (Movement from Aquarius to Pisces). Yes, you can say that Pisces was just before an Aquarius. And the same for say, Cancer having been a Gemini and now gotten bored of so many socializing and decided to ponder on the mysteries of life and try to figure out their feelings. For me, being a Cancer, this is my first time in this world..in this state of mind with the element of feelings..just as it was with every sign before me and their element: ..where everything else (every other element other than water) has been done. .....pioneering and showing the world i rock..done ( aries - fire ), showing the world i rock at acquiring things and being successful in the material world...done ( taurus - earth ), showing the world I rock at being socially adept...done ( gemini - air ). Now I, as a cancer, have nothing else to do.......but to turn inward and analyze the strange things that I feel, being a human. There is not much else to grab my attention..and this becomes a big part of what I focus on.
Pisces is the wisest because they have integrated, not only ALL of the elements and modes (obviously-they did that starting at leo), but all of the combinations of elements with modes that was possible. So..they have experienced life from every angle! From being an independent pioneering leader in self-identity (aries-cardinal), to discovering self-identity through fixed beliefs (leo-fixed), to discovering self-identity throuhg trying out many different things (saggitarius-mutable)...and so on with every element and corresponding mode.
So, i guess that SORT of answers your question...
