is it only because it's so easy to figure out people's sun sign and it doesn't move as quickly as the moon and rising?

thats 1 thing i really hate.
Astrology tries to advertise the Sun sign alone. and gives the impression that theres nothing else. thats why so many people are already rejecting its truth.
the main reason behind this is Sun signs are easy to tell.
and thats whats popular to people.
coz you dont go ask someone their time of birth and you cant memorize moon sign dates. they make it simpler, and people think thats IT, its how they commercialize astrology thats all.
in different culture, the question actually not refer to "sun sign".
When you ask "what 's your sign", in some place of the world, they will tell you their moon sign or Asc.
Just sun sign is NOT supposed to define us.
Especially in a relationship which combine communications, emotions, sex, etc, it will be helpful to understand moon, venus, mars, juno, etc.
the sun sign is what everyone else sees, all the other planets have there role but in different ways. you sun sign doesn't define you and only people that really know astrology know that , I'm glad you know what your talking about
It's made up. You could choose to believe or not to believe.
The person who made it up is probably the genius that said you have to say "I am" before you say your sun sign, because if you have to say "i am represented by" then it's longer and harder and less efficient and people who don't like complex English won't understand it.
Interesting question...the reason is that the sun rules the soul,the heart... so more likely, people will just say i am (sun sign)... it's because the sun has the most influence in most part... it's the REAL you...Your Sun Sign is so natural to you that you cud normally be like that of your Sun with ease... It IS your innate trait, but people can't describe you as such because you also have your ASC and MC that hides your true self.....
Either way, it still is complicated.....^^
Actually, not to say your wrong or anything, but there is a reason the sun sign is the most popular: Because it's easy to find out with little to no research.
Astrology websites "promote" the fact that the sun sign isn't the only planet that defines our personality. Some of even say that the sun sign may have to do little with your personality at all, and that discovering your whole chart is the only way to find out your true personality.
