From a partner, I want someone exciting and fun to be around. Someone who is up for anything, like a companion who is also a lover.
If someone else was better suited for me, and they liked me, I'd have to give up the current relationship. I'd be living a lie. But if I had no chance with the other person, I'd continue with the current one, because I fall in love with random people all the time :D No harm done.
