Mars square Saturn? Anyone else have this aspect? Can someone please explain?!

Question: I looked up this aspect, and see that it can be pretty unfavorable. I can relate to it, unfortunately. What I could find mentions repressed anger, and when the person releases the anger, it can turn into violence. I don't get actually violent, but I will verbally blow-up out of nowhere, and feel like I need a physical type of release. I tend to clean like a maniac when this hits me. Though this tendancy has lessend much in me over the years, it is a very strong sensation, which I dislike.

If anyone has any complete knowledge of Mars in Saturn, would you please describe?

Also, anyone with this aspect, can you relate?

Thanks in advance.

well, i don't have this aspect, but i will try to help you with this.

mars is the planet of aggresion, sex drive, and energy. it dictates our survival energy and represents our individualization process. while venus represents romantic attitudes, mars focuses more on the "bedroom" part of a relationship. whichever sign mars is in will show how we express ourselves sexually (for ex: in aries, one who is bold and selfish, but very intense in the bedroom; in taurus, one who loves sensuality as well as sex itself; etc.)

mars rules athletics and how competitive we are. a strong mars means one who takes "games" seriously and often beyond their limit. she/he refuses to compare her/himself to others; freedom to follow a different path is needed.

mars energy can be constructive or destructive, depending on how it's channeled. rage and violence can result if poorly channeled; stamina and achievement result if properly channeled.

saturn is the planet of restrictions, karma, and responsibilities. it teaches us discipline and structure as well as obedience. it's lessons are often harsh, but through experience we create our foundations, and saturn helps us realize this.

even if you don't believe in reincarnation, there's no denying that saturn holds the key to what the soul intends to accomplish. if placed properly, saturn leads to a practical outlook. if not, rigid beliefs and thoughts appear. there must be a balance with saturn's influences, or we will not understand what it is we are here to do and learn.

hope this helps!

is this aspect in the 3rd house?

I have Mars opp Saturn, which is similar.

For Mars SQUARE Saturn, the clearest description I have come across is by Robert Hand:

"With this aspect, life seems hard and unloving to you. And the danger is that you may gradually become hard and unloving towards others. If your family, especially your father, does not give you enough emotional support, you could eventually come to believe that no one else deserves a better break than you got. Most people with this aspect do not become completely hardened, but it is a tendency to watch out for.

Often when you have a burst of energy that makes you want to go forward, something seems to want to hold you back. That is very frustrating, but what it really means is that you have to be very throughly prepared in anything you do. The universe will not let you get away with doing anything in a hlf-baked way. If you can accept that with patience, this aspect will lose much of its sting.

Anger and irritation are often a problem with this aspect, becuase the action of Saturn inhibits the action of Mars. Be careful that you do not let your anger build up so far that it takes over. You may not lose your temper easily, but when you do, you do it spectacularly. But bitterness can distort your vision and make the whole world look bad. It may also cause you to withdraw from others and become unreachable.

Sometimes the effects of this aspect surface on the physical level as a tendency to break bones easily or have bone infections and eveb rheumatoid conditions at an early age."

Obviously how strongly this aspect affects you depends on each planet's sign, dignity and house.

There is also this advice for Mars SQUARE Saturn in "Buddhist Astrology":

"A positive environment and attitude changes most of the negative effects of this square. These individuals take their responsibilities seriously and therefore can attain great goals. It is good to undertake tasks that proceed in a slow and progressive manner. It is best to avoid the tendency to judge others. Meditations with love and compassion help diminish anxiety and frustration, which are part of a Mars-Saturn square."
