yea, not that you would be less emotional but you tend to be more logical or choose to be logical at certain times when it calls for it rather than use your intuitiveness. but ussualy if you have a water sign in moon and air sign in mercury the Water sign damps the Air sign and takes over most of the time. which the case would be heart rules over head. also depends on the aspects on those placements how strong it is.

More it would make you a more logical and clear communicator. Mercury rules how we communicate to others. With your Mercury in Aquarius, you'll talk to people using logic and reasoning (albeit quirky logic and reasoning). But you're still emotional and feel deeply if lets say your Sun is in Pisces.
