Saturn is the grim reaper and you should know this. Those who succedd are those who had to fall on their back, get up again.
Saturn teaches this. He is like a Taskmaster and sends little tests along the roadside except, he doesn't supplt the GPS to navigate.

If these people would have taken care of themself at 30 yrs old, Saturn wouldn't do too much damage at 60 and if you learnt your lessons well, he will return at 90 . Not bad actually. He gave you a long life just the same. That is the reward on a physical level and on a high level. You had an extra 30 years to gain EXPERIENCE.
So , a hard conjunct, if Saturn is well placed below the horizon, and not above, he will become active only late in life and in the second part only.
Assuming that one Saturn has earned points, he can always help the other one. Can't he ? Even under adverse aspect, if Saturn is strong and well posited, the aspect will only diminish the good that he promised originally.
Squares are the best aspects and if you would see my chart, I managed to gain insight and reach a higher level in everything.
Squares reward, trines make one lazy. Conjunction just adds a little color to the other planet.
Venus conj Saturn just hinders the expression of ones feeling but it doesn't remove any feelings.
Sun conj Saturn will affect more the father and grand father. Not a bad aspect. I have Sun sq Saturn, sq Mars.. I'm in perfect health.
All in all, the conj is mixing the blue ink of Saturn to the Red ink of sun....So it comes out purple.. not a bad soothing color.

You have to look at each chart individually, then see what planets are square. If each of their Saturn planets are square each other, then the relationship will break off. Saturn is not the glue of stability. There are many other factors including the moon position and the ascendant, and the aspects.
