I believe we're emotional/moody because we're governed by the moon which is constantly changing. But I don't actually get it either. I'm not that emotional outwardly but my closest friends occasionally get to see it. As for selfish, I'd say we are the opposite. I give, give, give way too much. Be it my time or material objects, no one could call me selfish. I like to make sure my Friends and family have what they need and if I can help provide it, I do.
Well you have a false Cancer because Cancer are not selfish They love their family dearly and are hard workers They are also very faithful to their loves one Most of them are highly intelligent and are also very practical . A real Cancer is a blessing to have in our lives

I don't know what kind of Cancers you've been dealing with, but I am not selfish, nor are my other Cancer friends. I am so tired of people taking the sensitive, emotional, attached to their mothers descriptions about Cancers to such an extreme! Let's get to the real question, what was the situations you were in, to make you come to that conclusion? Selfish is not a trait of a Cancer.

i don't know if they selfish, but they're emotinal and sensitive becouse that is thier nature, you can't change it
emo- oh yea, we can be, very, not like we intend to be, but thats just us, one of the water element peeps, specifically the moonchild. i think if there are any issues being a cancer or being with one, it'd be them dealing with their emotions, trying to be less emotional....but selfish? hohoh. thank god that im familiarizing with my aries moon, otherwise, i really wouldnt know how being selfish is like. no kidding. infact, im l-e-a-r-n-i-n-g what it takes to become one. seriously.
most probly the cancer that you know have hers/ his cancer attributes repressed or overriden by other signs in his/her birth chart, which brings to exhibit the selfish trait in that person. be it any other 11 signs, but not cancer, fer sure.
