I had a "best friend" in high school that was a aquarius and she was a total biatch. She manipulated everyone and talked behind everyones back, even mine! She was very cold, distant, and unemotional I even noticed with her boyfriends. I think that is why she had so many guys after her because she treated men like crap [you know how that goes, lol]. Every time you wouldn't do something for her or you'd make a joke while you were just kidding she would say "I hope you die" just because she was feeling undermined. I am supposed to get along with aquarius being a gemini but every aquarius female I've encountered have been bitches, I do however get along with the males. I mean look at Paris Hilton, lol. This other lady I knew born on the same day but was an older woman, was the same way! She married a family friend of mine and treated him like crap. The poor old man was handicapped and couldnt leave his bed w/o someone helping him and she would leave him in the basement for weeks at time. She manipulated him and remarried him just to have control over his money!!

i know you said dont tell about yourself but... im am an aquarius and i have a giant sence of humor!!! i love to tell jokes and laugh!!! but i am VERY stubborn and i admit that!! as for the open or closed minded thing. there are certain things that i am open minded about but for the things i am not that is just my stubbornness kicking in!! but mostly i dont believe in judging people by how there sign says they should be!

My best friend is an Aquarius (1987).
He's definitely open-minded and humorous. He is not easily offended, one would say even closed at times. If I get angry with him (which rarely happens and when it does its for like 2 minutes) he just lets it roll off. It doesn't affect him. He doesn't outwardly show emotion, thats awkward for him.
If you happen to watch Will & Grace, there is an episode called The Hospital Show (not sure what season) but Will is exactly my best friend in that episode (and sadly, I am very Grace in that episode).
I would say of the descriptors you gave above, a few would apply to him...open-minded, playful, a bit stubborn.

My boyfriend is great! He is warm, very friendly. He has good work ethics, and a lot of friends. Very easy going, and in two years I have never seen him mad. He may be a little old fashion, when it comes to standards of living, woman clean the house, men work in the yard, things like that. However, he helps in the house too. Aquarius's are great.
Well, i think aquariuses are both. They are very open minded about other people's opinions...they wouldn't want anyone else to think differently because they do...or to stop being themselves for them, or whatever it is (something an aries or even a taurus might think), but they absolutely REJECT anyone trying to convince THEM of anything....if you are trying to convince them, they jsut absolutely rebel and WILL NOT give in....ever........unless it is completely done by their independent mind and thought about in solitude for a while...maybe. And, well, they seem to me very warm and and playful, it is said that they treat everyone like a close friend, and from my experience..that is so true.. BUT they can be very unsocial some days..like they need time by themselves and reject everyone's company. But not for the same reason other signs might, for mistrust, but because they want time to study and analyze and think by themselves. They are the scientisit....and they are all about thinking and formulating new, quirky ideas. They are the the sign that comes after cap, so they have inherited some of that seriousness and hardworkingness, but this time around it's not to simply get famous, but it's for humanitarian causes--and it's their ideas which will do it, which will help humanity.
I really really disagree that aquariuses are old-fashioned, though. They are just estremely independent, rebellious, and they would like to challenge all authority if they could. Of course, they don't like t stand out too much either, though....they are the unique rebel...who doesn't stand out too much, but is just expressing their individuality through their rebellion. It's not that they're REALLY rebelling against society (sure).
Aquarians are very smart and have their eye on humanity--they want to help people--and they are the sign that tries to break tradition in one way or another....that tries to change people around them and tries to awaken them from their ruts. That's how they help people..by snapping them out of "customs" which are not longer needed........they provide the quirky ideas.

I think he might appear cold sometimes when he's distracted by his thoughts, I also suspect it depends on who you are. But not cold with family and affectionate with his wife.
Ok heres my assessment of Aquarians. (I'm a Leo.)
My first boyfriend was Aquarius. We were together for 2 years and he was very stubborn, very set in his ways, cool on the outside but very very self conscious on the inside. He could say "I love you" but not with any emotion behind it. And he cheated on me. His birthday was February 2, 1987.
My friends boyfriend is an Aquarius. He's unbelievably stubborn, opinionated, outspoken, frustrating, and things need to be his way or else he's unsatisfied. Although, he's never been outright mean or purposely tried to hurt somebody, and he's usually there for you if you need help with something. His birthday is February 18th, 1988.
Lastly, the guy I'm really into these days is an Aquarius, I probably have the best assessment of him because I watch him like a hawk! (Although I make sure he doesn't know...) He's extremely detached emotionally (but Ive never been intimate with him past kissing or intelligent conversation.) He's friendly with everyone he meets but keeps his conversations surfaced, again never delving into his emotions. He's very independent. Although he has several friends and people are naturally drawn to him, I see him alone the majority of the time (around campus). He's sporadic in his affection... I wont hear from him for a week then he'll call me / talk to me for 3 days straight, then I won't hear from him again. He was born January 28th, 1988.
I think the most common theme I've noticed among Aquarians is independence, stubbornness, several friends but none too close, and a lack of confidence when it comes to expressing emotion.
