Hummer is correct, as you rising sign and aspects to it dictate your appearance. Capricorn rising always looks and acts younger as they age, it is one of God's gifts to them for all the pain and loss they have had to endure. Fire signs rising, depending on aspects to the ascendant, tend to go bald quicker, and generally grow a mustache or beard to try to hide either a thin upper lip or draw attention away from their lack of hair. Females will dye their hair big time and get the layered look (Are you old enough to remember Farrah Fawcett?) Air signs always look more youthful than others their age - Gemini, Libra, Aquarius. But more so Gemini and Aquarius. Libra will tend to look older faster because of all the makeup and junk they put on. They're lovely/handsome when they're young, but after the age of 30 they start to look like wannabes. Water signs are less prone to wrinkles and hair loss. Like I said, aspects to ascendant by sign and house dictate appearance. Just some examples.
Complete agree. Capricorn, ruled by Saturn should make people look older but NO.Contrary. Capricorns are good looking and actually look much younger than their age.
Libras also. They tend to hide their age naturally. I find from personal studies, that Leo, once he reaches 45 yrs, ages very quickly if he is not already there as well as Sagittarius who abuse in alcohol, food etc....

Overall, I think the Earth signs are more health conscious, especially Virgos and Capricorns. Taurus people many times overindulge in food and drink.
It definitely is the result of environment, lifestyle, and 50% your genetics. A Capricorn who drinks and smokes for 40 years may live longer and look better than one who does'nt because his genetic blueprint which counts for 50% has programmed him, so to speak, to have longevity.
Virgos are said to stay young looking even into old age. Probably because we are very health conscious. Geminis and Sagittarians the same; probably because they are childish and stay young at heart.
could be the rising sign effect? my sis who is 10 yrs older than me, have sag rising, when walking together, had strangers always thinking she's my younger sister, with me having cap rising, i look more matured, serious (without realising it), compared to her, who tends to look more approachable.
choices of lifestyle could also be another influencing factor as well. not forgetting modern derma science and tech- facials, botox, plastics, well....with that in mind its getting hard to know which is which.
perhaps some certain sun sign who prefers to age gracefully wouldnt worry to show the proof of time. hmm, now which sign would be the less vain ones? im not sure. =)
I agree with the person who said earth signs look younger. My sister is 28 and a Capricorn but many people think she's in high school lol. My grandmother is a Virgo and she's turning 86 this September and may people assume she's in her sixties because she has almost no wrinkles. I'm not sure about everyone else though...
Capricorn is in between the end and the start of the year, maybe this would give insight to why time seems to work backwards in their clock.
younger caps seem more mature looking and when they get older they look younger than their peers, not only that but they do look younger the more they get older. i think this is also a way to enjoy all their accomplishments in older age.

I am a Virgo and have been told all my life that I look young for my age. I think it has more to do with having Venus in Libra than being a Virgo.
