It's hard to picture your chart without seeing it, however I could give a few comments.
Sun in Scorpio means that you walk the path of the investigator. Moon in Cancer means you have the soul of the healer or nurturer. Ascendant in Gemini means you present the face of a storyteller or messenger.
You were born in the disseminating phase of the moon which means you were meant to teach something in this lifetime.
North node in Gemini means that your life calling is that of the storyteller/messenger.
You could get a free chart from astro.com. There are plenty of places online where you can get free astrology information to interpret your chart.
Here are a couple of really good books that I feel are the best to start with.
The Inner Sky, The Changing Sky, both by Steven Forrest. He is a really good descriptive writer. He writes with the beginner in mind.
