well some people beleive that the moon and the stars and planets all serve a purpose in ones lives. So therefore horoscopes are basically the vision that they get from that.
instead of the word "horoscopes", try a full birth natal chart at http://www.astro.com, the purpose is the same as tarot cards, they are meant to tell people if they will get what they "want" in life, and everyone should "like" what they tell them, as supposedly we all chose our lives before we were born.
Some people cant go to their work if they havent read their horoscope I sometimes read it but I dont pay so much attention to it
