Although all signs have potential to be mean, i do have to say that some have proven to fulfill their potential more often.
When I notice someone is mean I wonder what sign they are and VERY often it has reaffirmed me that Capricorns and Scorpios are the meanest, most vindictive signs out there. It's in their nature though, and often they have a partner in crime who they are very compatible with, who although is not as mean, sees their meanness as just who they are. oh those scorpios and capricorns.
Wow....I have never met a mean sign actually. I love astrology so why would somebody see bad inother signs. I agree that some signs are hard to deal with but this is because they have emotional issues or behavior that are out of the normal.
I see that the hardest sign, for me , is Scorpio.. Guess what? I play music professionally and i have the best time with Scorpio and not Librans. I am Libran , BTW witha strong Sagittarius Moon.
So for me, all signs can be mean if they are provoked except that Scorpio can go to extremes...... I mean extremes.
Whatever sign some Mr. Logical Left-brained Anti-Astrology Prick who comes in here with his i-know-it-all postings falls under ... should be banned from this website for good!

but they can also go the exact opposite and be the nicest, funniest, coolest, loving ect person you'll ever meet too. i guess all signs can be mean iv just been stung by a few scorpios in the past without warrant.
edit* seems like there is always some serious scorpio bashing going on, i dont get it, i love these people i am a taurus and i can be pretty ruthless when provoked too i guess it takes someone strong to be able to handle a strong sign person.
My sisters a Taurus. And she is not playful at all and it kills me (im a Sagittarius) and she is hateful like I don't know what.
Oh and Sagittarius's are not the meanest sign by the way. Im friendly and caring.

hmm well seriously i have no idea,but i think pisces can be mean at times cause i had a bad experience with 2 people belonging to this sign and pls guys this is purely my opinion

I hate to say this but I have to agree with the majority here, Scorpio's can be the meanest. As my favorite Author wrote, " They make bad enemies so don't cross them. If they combine this enmity with criminal acts you have one of the most ruthless and dangerous gang leaders ever. But they will dress well and always have exquisitely polished shoes to do their kicking with. They can steal, pillage, and kill all with a smile." I quote of course Richard MacDonald!! But my Scorpio Hubby is very mean and spiteful in his own way. Probably not every single Scorpio would admit to this however!
