Question: Just wondering if you guys have noticed that the same people keep going around giving the same other people thumbs down on their answers. Do you guys sense as much jealousy around here as I do?

You are not the only one and I have said so in the forum comments a few times.
Some people seem to be making it a hobby to thumbs down everybody they don't like. I don't even think it is so much the person asking or the people replying. I think it is people who have nothing better to do with their time.
I get the feeling they go to specific peoples profiles and thumbs down them. Someone asked for good baby names
and I said I like names that start with J -Jessica, Jesse, Jade,
and Julie. I had thumbs down on that in no time along with a couple other replies I had JUST done.
In the comments forum I have suggested that they should not have the thumbs down be anonymous AND they should require a reasonable explanation why then maybe people would back off thumbs down a little more.
Thumbs down should be for a bad answer, not for people to hit just because they have a different opinion and don't care for yours because it is different than theirs.
I TOTALLY know what you are saying girl. I give people the best answer I got even if it is long. Sometimes even if I don't know an answer I give an idea and say hope I helped.One guy asked a complex math question and I told him how I would figure it out and he gives me thumbs down for Every SINGLE dang thing! I Hope I can brush My shoulders off girl, I know I give people The honest answer and don't just answer for points!
yes i feel the same way too.but then again, the person who is going to rate the answers should know, and not judge with the number of thumbs down.

Oh yeah girl I totally agree with you on this one!!! They need a life!
If someone gives me a thumb down, I honestly do not care, I suggest you to stop caring as well. We have to value our opinion and for these jealous people who give thumbs down because they can not even make sense in their answers we really do not need to pay attention. Let them be, I give always thumbs up when I like an answer, I can give thumb down only when the answer is very arrogant and aggressive but if I do not think in this way, I just do not give anything as I am respectful to different opinion.

And I think if you get thumb down from someone who is really not serious about this section and jealous just because they even do not think but give negative assessment you have to be happy it means your answer is good enough to provoke jealousy and competition lol.
Do not get upset out of it, when you know you are doing good in here no one can tell you the contrary!

Yes, I know one in particular that copies and pastes every single answer but goes around and gives everyone else thumbs downs because he thinks he's the expert on astrology. We could all be experts if we did that.
There's another one that seems to follow me around just for the sake of giving me a thumbs down. What's funny is that you know who the ones are because thumbs downs always start showing up when they come around. This is why my profile is now set to private.
Sapphire said it best. It's easy for people to do because they're anonymous but if they couldn't do it in a cowardly way it would greatly decrease.
