This is my area of expertise, when talking about being cautious and pessimistic the first signs that qualify are definetely the earth signs whose dominant traits actually consist of cautiosness and is some cases pessimism, of the three earth sign virgo and capricorn stand out the most, capricorns are very cautious and attentive and also very ambitious,they plan things meticolously and seldom give in to their emotions, virgos are very hard working and very down to earth, they tend to worry about details and tend to be extremely well grounded and practical, like the capricorn they plan things carefully and carry out their plans methodically taking care of every single step before achieveing their goal...however in terms of pessimism i would have to say that capricorns are the most pessimistic because they tend to be very distrustful of the unknown and prefer to always have the situation under control, whereas virgos tend to be somewhat more optimistic and sometimes relent on their stern view of the world.....while capricorns always keep their eyes open prepared to handle any obstacle that might come their way.
I would say Virgo's.
Everyone i meet seems to be overly careful, planning everything in detail incase something should go wrong... expecting the worst out of every situation.
But it keeps them prepared you know? :)

Cautrious belongs to the earth signs in general. Capricorn is cautious when it comes to emotions and their expressions.
Taurus are cautious when it comes to money.
We are left with Virgo who is cautious in everything. Whether it is phsycial or emotional or intellectual, EVERYTHING HAS TO BE PROCESSED THROUGH THEIR INTELLECT before making any decisions.
I would say Aquarius because they take their time choosing the special person that the want to be with very carefully. They also choose take their time choosing their friends very carefully.
