Alright, I can help you out, because my Sun and Moon are in Virgo. If it helps any more, my Sun is 15 degrees Virgo, dead center, and my moon is 10.51 degrees Virgo.
Virgos are not as finicky as you think. We come off as that, but in truth, we identify people by their faults. If you are crushing on a Virgo girl, she probably will analyze you first- she might come off as a bit hard. But in truth, we Virgos have a totally different personality on the inside- we just put up our defenses first.
I know the first things I see with a guy are his eyes and hair. If those are attractive to me (I generally like guys with blonde hair and blue eyes, but I often like guys with brown hair and brown eyes, too. It really is not that big of a deal.) I am cool with that person. After a Virgo gets to know your physical traits, they begin to begin the second stage, which is when the Virgo will loosen up- when they begin to see you for who you are. As a Virgo, I generally don't notice anything about my friends' physical appearances after a while. At first, I just see how they look and judge them by that, but after a while, I seriously just see them for who they are. If they have a new haircut, I notice. If they get their braces off, I don't. If they have a cute outfit on, it takes me a while to notice that, too.
Virgos aren't as hard as you think they are.
And females generally go for guys who are confident, by the way. Virgos are no different, although if the girl you like has Venus in Virgo, she will probably appreciate you if you are underestimated. And Virgos like clean people. Hopefully you do not have any really gross habits that she will notice at first, because she might get turned off by that. In summary, they will judge you at first, but after a while they will only judge you by your personality.
And she will probably appreciate it if you aren't rude.

Uh, my sister is Virgo, so I can give you a bit about her.
As a young child, she was somewhat preppy, with medium brown wavy hair, who played with Barbie dolls and Polly Pockets. She listened to Brittney Spears and Ricky Martin.
Now, she's this semi-goth kid, who listens to what I consider "bad" metal like Atreyu (versus the good sort of stuff like Sonata Arctica, Slipknot, and Nightwish)
She's 5'1", hazel eyes, dark brown hair, thin (though she shouldn't be, since she just plays on her computer and eats at restaurants with her friends)

I'm a virgo and I prefer a man with a cute (average) face. I don't like pretty boys. I like bright blue eyes or dark brown ones. I prefer men with dark brown hair that has some texture to it. Waves or any more texture than that. I like them five foot six and up. But not over six foot. A thick body with some muscles and a little fat on top of it. Like a football player, but not too much muscles.
I like my man to be a nice dresser. Nicer than most men. Now I don't like a guy in suits or ties all day, but I like a man in a nice button down shirt or a nice sports shirt and jeans with crisp white shoes or shined up shoes. He has to look very clean and presentable. He has to look like he put some time into getting ready even when he didn't. I don't care what music he listens to. This is his choice, but he has to be the same open minded way as me. I want him to have a fun personality. Someone who likes to joke around with me and go out and explore the world together. He has to be smart. There's no way of getting around that, but I don't want some guy who thinks he's better than everyone else either. I want him to also be loyal, which virgo men already are. He needs to be considerate to others and a nice guy out in the world, but when it comes to he and I behind closed doors, I want him to be an animal in bed! LOL
