I totally agree with you about Leo's being best for president. I have tons of them in my family and my man is a Leo too. They all have great leadership qualities. My vote would be for Leo anyday. They were born to lead.

Leo is lion and Scorpio is-as you know! based on Sun sign....LEO!!
Leo is too egoistic & not as analytical compared to Scorpio.
Scorpio's emotion may be intense but they are fixated emotions & tend to fuel their focus on a certain goal.
As well as the Leo ego is fixated to prove he is a good leader.
A good thing about Leo as leaders is the strong sense of purpose & the willingness to lead.
Scorpio is more research oriented & a much deeper thinker compared to Leo hence Scorpio can handle a crisis more gracefully.

Well, I think this is pretty pointless...because, if you think about it, we don't talk about ANY Leo or ANY Scorpio...Every person is defined by all the aspects and placements of his/her chart and taking into account ONLY their Sun sign, is like wanting to define a 3-D object based only on its one dimension...
Anyway, Leos and Scorpios are both Fixed. This means that they are both persistent...however Scorpios are watery while Leos are fiery. Scorpios follow their way through their heart while Leos follow their way through impulsion.
Scorpios are able to control a situation while Leos are interested in their pride. Personally, I believe that a Leo president may be prone to the promotion of situations flattering his/her image and a Scorpio one can very easily deceive his/her people and lead them wherever he/she wants.
That makes me believe that each of them is good (in their way)

History proved itself time and time again. Air sign influence on the ascendant or the Sunsign itself has the most influential presidents in whatever country. Check it out before posting negative thumbs down.
Scorpio would definitely make one a Dictator and one who would have to have his own way. They have stong likes and dislikes and too critical. IF vexed, thwy would probably be sarcastic and too cruel of the mass. Take hitler for instance. He was Aries with Libra rising. shoudl have been the other way around.
Leo as leader would be a better choice because of his firm will and unselfishness and lover of justice. Take a look at Churchill, Ghandi, Bill clinton, Lady Diana -cancer with Sagittarius rising, Thomas Jefferson (Aries) Kruschev (Aries) , Napoleon, Fidel Castro, Mussolini, etc...
P.S. Not to contradict one poster but their are more air and fire signs and strong rising influences as presidents or well known people than Scorpio. Except for Kennedy and Rossevelt who were Scorpio and DeGaule, Prince Charles (cheater) .
