Karmic Law And Vedic Astrology.
To have a peep in to the future and learn if possible of what is there in store has held fascination for many all over the world from times immemorial. No wonder man has investigated every possible avenue, which holds promise. Many interesting methods of forecasting like Palmistry, Tarot, Nadi are prevailing in our country but Vedic Astrology and to very lesser extent of the above said methods can rightfully claim a large number of votaries.
There are three major types of astrology widely followed on this earth namely, Western Astrology, Chinese Astrology and Indian (Vedic) Astrology. Among all the others, Vedic Astrology is considered to be very minute and very accurate because unlike Western Astrology (where the Sun sign alone is given priority) and Chinese Astrology (where they do the predictions on the basis of animal of the year), in Vedic Astrology, we give great importance to ascendant, Moon sign and equal importance to Maha Dasha.
Vedic Astrology is a brilliant subject and a careful handling of this subject will definitely yield positive results. Astrologers may err but not the antiquity of Astrology or the theory laid down on it. The Law of Karma is heavily counted in Vedic Astrology. Vedic Astrology is based on the theory of Rebirth and Karma.
The fundamental tenet is that while passing through our lives, we acquire Punya for all our virtuous and noble acts; and likewise Papa for our sinful and wicked acts. They go on accumulating till the end of life then the departed Soul, automatically carries with it the accumulated burden of both Punya and Papa, which together constitute Prarabdh Karma.
Prarabdh Karma, for every individual, is the final verdict from the Supreme God, just like the final verdict from the apex court! Accordingly, an individual must experience enjoyment or fortune as reward for the virtuous act and suffer punishment or misfortune for the evil act committed in the past birth under the Law of Karma. There is no escape from paying the penalty. The Law of Karma is inexorable and acts automatically whether we wish or not.
Misfortunes or miseries are more important than fortunes or sources of happiness. When bright fortunes rule a person, he will have no difficulty in adjusting his surroundings and enjoying their results. Similarly when misfortunes have an upper hand with a person, then he will not only be unnerved but also will be at loss to know how to meet them. According to the Karmic law, a child will have some Karma to its credit before its birth, as the result of that Karma it will take birth in a particular family with particular surroundings, with either fortune or misfortune.
By applying Vedic Astrological System on the horoscope of a particular child, the degree of the fortune (blessings) or misfortune (curses) the child had brought along with it in this birth due to the past birth Karma could be worked out. Therefore, the astrologers, after a deep analysis of a horoscope and taking in to account of the divine blessings traced from the Birth-Chart due to the past birth Karma, classify a horoscope to be either below average, average, above average, extraordinary or some time super horoscope.
Without even trying to understand the importance of Re-Birth and Karmic Law, there are many people especially nonbeliever in astrology who simply take it granted that an entirely new life comes in to being at the birth, after its life span and disappears forever. Good and bad actions earn their reward and punishment right here on the earth. Any sin committed, is liquidated by sincere repentance and confession before God, probably at later age –after retirement?
The opponents of Astrology, who, knowing not much or nothing at all of Vedic Astrology indulge freely in vituperations or tirades against this great subject, however its glory can never be buried however they try!!
