Hey I also am a capricorn!
From what I can tell about our sign:
We are ambitous, and if the result is going to be worth our while we will work hard towards it. If its going to be for no gain...forget it.
We end up attracted to Cancers (look around you might have a couple around you) but they will drive you crazy in the long term if you date one. WAAAAY too emotional. Also Pisces might make you want to scream with their secretive nature and unrealistic view of things.
People who can't make up their minds are also going to piss you off. So Geminis might make you crazy. As long as you understand that 95% of what they say is just what they are thinking and not that they are not going to do anything about it, you will be okay. Although, you might have to distance yourself time to time.
Surround yourself with fire signs (Aries, Leo, and Sag) because they are just as ambitious as we are and lots of fun!!
As for the confidence thing, you will grow into it. We tend to be late bloomers, really awkward until we find out what we want to do. Once that happens, watch out. You will become the calculating, ambitious, quietly confident Cap you are meant to be. I was most awkward before 25 years old.
Last thing. We have a tendency to be gloomy when we are confused or lost. This gloominess can lead to depression and general anxiety. Its inevitable, its our nature...learn to work through it. Also, love tends to be a challenge due to you know emotion. The funny thing is that underneath it all we are VERY emotional...but don't tell anyone.

Let me tell you about capricorns in my opinion:
- we're usually confident, but we need constant praise to realize what we should be proud of.
- we're ambitious, though hardly go the mile.
- we're loving and passionate.
- we're submissive. hence, most of us avoid conflict but put ourselves on the 'observer mode' to. In order to gather information for further strategies.
- we easily get bummed when criticized.
- capricorns are forgiving and adapt easily to new surroundings.
- lady capricorns are known for their great sex appeal, related to intelligence and self confidence. *snickers*
