Virgo are not only perceptive but a perfectionist in their analysis. They are very fastidious and critical of the personal habits of others, which can be a big turn-off and prevent you from achieving a fulfilling relationship, or even participating at all in the messy business of involvement.
Virgos are to talk their way into or out of anything, and are generally perceived to be quite witty and entertaining. Their innermost feelingsare rarely discussed with anyone save a very trusted confidante, so anyone who wishes to get to know you deeply must be prepared to persevere.
Virgo's can stop and look at one tree in a forest and analyze it till it rots instead of looking around and discover that the forest is full of trees. They have an excellent eye for detail but they may be so meticulous that they neglect larger issues.
Their faults are the extremes of these same virtues. Fastidious reticence and modesty become old maidishness. Their balanced criticism becomes carping and nagging; and concern for detail becomes overspecialisation. Their prudence can become guile and their carefulness, turned in on themselves, can produce worriers and hypochondriacs.

Perceptive is a good word when you're talking about a virgo because they don't trust just anyone. They will feel people out for a long time before they even trust them just a little bit. By feeling out, perception is key. They ask a lot of questions like detectives, and analyze the answers. They analyze body language and speech patterns looking for inconsistencies. They can spot a lie six miles away! They are real good at finding inconsistent communication because of their good memories. So if someone says one thing two days ago and another thing today, the virgo will remember and bring this up. If that ain't perceptive, I don't know what is.
