Negative- Scorpios, some Aries, Cancers
Scorpio- they tend to be very "dark sided", not evil, but very gloomy, very dark and mysterious. They are the opposite of sunshine, since their ruling planet is Pluto. They tend to look at things from a naturalistic perspective and rarely are the comforting, give a shoulder to cry on types. They are more likely to rub it in and stick it to you when your down.
Aries- they are very loud, and very tempremental and often that combination with that personality type usually is very negative or at least has a very, very negative energy. Or at least they come across as very negative people.
Cancers- the worst, they are the biggest whiners of the zodiac, they excuse every little bad thing they do. Of course they are very negative people because they are very b*tchy, they're perpetual complainers, and they always, always have something rude or negative to say to someone else, usually out of self-hate or jealousy.
Leos (some)- I'm a Leo, when we are in a great mood or even good mood, we're optimistic. But get us on a bad day and see the drama coming. Not as bad as Cancers, but there's nothing worse than seeing a hurt Leo lol, I know that from PERSONAL experience. :-)

This is typical of Scorpios, i am one, lol. Have always been a pessemist and if something goes wrong i always say 'Thats just typical!!' lol

I agree with the first answer...definitley virgos and also cancers and pisces.
If this is like asking whether i'm an optimist or a pessimist i would say I am an pessimist. Because to me when you think something is going to go great or be optimistic about it, and then it falls through, you are more disappointed than if you were a pessimist who wouldn't be too bothered as you wouldn't have had your hopes too high in the first place.
Also if something good happens and your an optimist, you would be less happy than a pessimist because an optimist has their hopes up and thinks things will go right so when they do, they are not as happy as they can be where as a pessimist is not expecting it to go well so when it does they seem more happy and more pleased.
And I'm a leo, so I don't tend to agree with star signs very much.

Virgos seem to be always depressed because they have a negative outlook on things. They are perfectionists, so they always constantly strive to reach perfection because they aren't happy with what they have.
a sidetrack- whoever said half empty is necessarily negative and half full is positively positive?
back to general context, my guess is on the earth signs, virgos top it, second the capricorns. its innate of them to deduce scattered informations, gathering them, and drawing end conclusions. most of time, negative ones as per say.
personally, from the virgos and caps i know, they tend to blow things out of proportion. minute matters are blown up to a cinema screen size. in my opinion, i think its good, to a certain extent only before it becomes condescending and patronizing, but to them, they say, that's just how they are. hahah. amazing people they are. =)
