Sagittariuses are often looking for things you can't provide for them. Because their search is entwined with their personal philosophic journey.
Not knowing the birth data of the Sagittarius you write of I'm going to give some very general statements.
Love of freedom: If a Sagittarius gets involved with someone who is clingy, it's a deal breaker. An independent partner would be a better bet.
Love of philosophical study: If a Sagittarius can't share what they are reading, have a deep conversation that involves more than the listener nodding their head and saying "yup yup yup" then that's a deal breaker. They are hungry for other observations, some new information, that will help them in their studies.
Love of Sports: Some Sagittariuses NEED sports in their life. They might want to watch TV with their friends and get loud. I know women who fit this description, it's not just the men who can be big sports fans. If one is involved with a sports loving Sagittarius it would be a deal breaker if they didn't share the love of sports.
Love of animals: I've known Sagittariuses who get great joy from their pets. Some I've known were dog trainers. Getting involved with a Sagittarius who has a bunch of dogs means you're getting the whole package. Don't expect to change people after you come into their life. Accept them as they are.
Avoidance of "Heavy" moments: Some Sagittariuses have difficulty dealing with "heavy" moments. Let's say a Virgo woman is involved with a Sagittarius man. She wants to discuss their relationship, in detail, in a critical way. He's just as likely to grab the car keys and his jacket and leave the house. Approaching a Sagittarius about "issues" needs to be done through a philosophic or metaphysical channel, not with criticism.
If I were involved with a sports loving Sagittarius man I'd offer to cook the food for the next sports gathering and then when the men are settled down to watch the game I'd get the heck out of the house and let them have their fun.
If I were involved with a philosophical Sagittarius I'd buy him books that deal with topics he is studying: Life after death, astral travel, transcendental medication, etc. I'd be open to discussing these topics in a way that I bring my own observations to the discussion, accepting his point of view while keeping mine as my own.
If I were involved with an outdoorsy Sagittarius I'd invest in some good hiking boots and outdoor gear and be ready to go camping.
If I were involved with a foreign country traveling Sagittarius I'd pick up a new language and a guide book and go traveling with him.
But I wouldn't do any of these things if it was not in my nature to do these things. Pleasing a man does not come before being true to ourselves. Sagittariuses are responsible for their own happiness, we can only be supportive as far as we can stand it. LOL

not really. most of what the sags want can easily be found, they just see what they want in a distance that's why others can't see it. to make a sag happy give him his freedom, help him reach his goals, be a friend to him, enjoy life in an optimistic way. i find male sags easy to please than the female ones. but still being optimistic is a common trait to both male and female sags. cracking a silly joke also helps:-)

all i want is someone fun adventurous and not messing about or seeing other women..
also i need my space and time to do the thing si like, and because i like to race cars means i have days playing and changing things on my car, so time alone and without being told im seeing someone else wud be appreciated lol
