Question: He is helping me when I have surgery. We have been together 4 months. Do you think he's starting to freak out? Or do you think it wouldn't be anything to him and he's just freaking about something else? He's just acting weird in general. A friend said he may be worried about me-or what he needs to do for me since he;s never been the primary caregiver for something like this before.
Surgery is in 2 weeks.

Moving along (sorry about that), I agree with auntyalias, she has a nice point of view on how to act with a virgo... like she said, and what has been said
hes just worried that something may go wrong and what will be of him and what he will do and blablabla (you know how it is)... virgos rule the 6th house... 6th house is the house of work and health... anything that may affect you, will affect him as well, after all he needs you (even though he wont admit it with ease)...
chear him up... tell him it will be ok, and for him to chill... and do use "auntyalias" phrases... hes not freaking out, hes just worried and having second thoughs over what to do after the surgery (if the surgery itself isnt worrying him already) because like you said "hes never been the primary caregiver for something like this before"...
Talk with him and start planning ahead of the surgery, just in case, so he doesnt freak out (like "Could you go the supermarket when im, whatever, i need you to buy some "oranges" or could you go to the bank and pick up cash") plan ahead (not really plan ahead, just aproach the issue)... and tell him to chill out (not directly, this is hard to explain, in some people you say directly chill out, but in his case, you may just need to reassure him, and make it more polite, dont make it look like an order, make it more like an advice) and it will all be ok...

omg im having surgery in two weeks as well and my BF has to help me too. hes really excited to help though. maybe your man is upset with something else. good luck at your surgery
why don't you ask him? i fail to see what his sign has to do with it.
virgo is the sign of service and he'l be more than happy to be there for you and help you. i think he is just worried or maybe analyzing the situation too much, talk to him and find out.
Virgos seek to serve. If he feels there's nothing he can do for you where can he exercise his wish to serve? Of course Virgos worry, it's one of their traits, making lists of all the things that need to be done, what could go wrong, etc.

If he's freaking out because all of this is "too heavy". Then tell him you would not feel any less about him if he took a break from "helping" you, but you will have to reevaluate your feelings about his lack of grit.

Well you said you were having surgery and that is hard on people anyways.
Virgoes are worrier. He may seem distant and cold and he will seclude himself to reflect, analyze and assimilate all this. Don't worry, if you want to test the territory, ask him for his help.
Virgoes love to be like a 'Dad' and he won't let you down. Give him his breathing space because he needs it. He has to digest all of this and don't worry, his feelings don't change that easily once he committed.
