They're not generally shy, just quiet and introverted. They'll watch and analyze, but when they form their opinion they aren't shy about expressing it and will stand up and defend their beliefs to the end.
they're not shy at all!! the scorpios i know are really out there for the most part.

Well, I have known a few Scorpios. They all were pretty shy. But once you gain their trust, you can have very deep conversations with them.
BOTH of my best friends are scorpios... and they are deffinately NOT shy!! they are outgoing.. and come across as up themselves because they are good looking and not afraid to show that they know it lol. im a gemini so the times we have together are exciting and never boring!! we have so much fun:)

They are in the middle. Not too shy, but outgoing enough to meet people, yet still private.

hm... scorpios are rather outgoing or their personality is mixed (both shy and outgoing) :) i'd say that scorpios are simply reserved, isn't it what you meant?
I'm a Scorpio and I wouldn't say I'm shy although I do come of that way before I get to know a person. I would say that we are very observant because I'm a very observant person.
