Is it possible for a water sign to be emotionally detatched if he/she has some a!
Question: Like Water Sun, and Air moon, including other air elements in their chart?
By emotionally detached I mean they're not sensitive and easily hurt emotionally, and can attack others emotionally and break others down without feeling guilt and pity. But can recognize other's emotions, and understand how they will feel if they do an action?
If that makes sense sorry. I just don't find myself overly sensitive like most water signs I have met, and I'm a Scorpio, but then again most of my friends I've been hanging out my whole life were Air, and Fire signs and got a lot of harsh comments from them so I guess I got used to them.
What do you guys think?

I believe Restless Angel pretty much nailed it and I really
don't need to add much besides the fact she is on top
of it, as usual, and I'm water/air. I'm a Scorpio with Aquarius
moon, and Sag ascendant. My chart is dominated by Sag
and Scorpio, but I have another air (Libra) in it. I like having
this combination. It provides a very good balance and base
for me emotionally and mentally. It seems like I don't get
caught up in quite so much drama and psycho bs as I see
and hear about with a lot of other Scorpio's. Plus, it has a lot
of perks.
I am a water sign with water moon and no doubt that makes me sensitive and emotional , and intuitive and borderline psychic as well. However , air element in my chart is also numerous , I have rising sign in Libra and venus in gemini , jupiter in uranus, true node and chiron is also in gemini. Even though I am sensitive and kinda easily hurt emotionally ( due to pisces moon ) , I can be airy cool and detached in many matters . More often than not , I present myself as an air sign , due to strong effect of rising sign ( I have Pluto in my 1st house as well which I think greatly intensifies my Libra ascendant ) . I am like you , most of my friends have been air signs , mostly Gemini , one of my best friend is a Libra and I am attached easily to Aquarius. Sometimes I find myself at odd emotionally in relationships ( due to the square between my water moon and air venus ) , pull-push is my style . I get attached very easily but....then when I get to involved , I start to detach ....I have 2,3 planets in fire signs and only 1 planet in earth ....and I only have a few friends in these signs.
And yeah, if I get harsh comments from them , I will get hurt, but I will bite back ....so.....I think thats fair :) , or more often, I use my words to put them to shame

A water sign with an air moon (and other placements) is still going to be motivated largely by their emotions, but is going to be more rational about those emotions than a water sun with say a water or fire moon, therefore not getting hurt as easily or over-reacting quite as much as one of these other moon placements when dealing with emotional hurts (real or imagined). (Fire signs are not emotionally detached, person above me:) We're just not sappy about them like a water sign can tend to be) I would say in a best case scenario, water sun + air moon would point to an individual who was in touch with their own emotional natures and the emotions of those around them as well, but was logical enough about those feelings to separate the genuine emotion from the false emotion, and just basically be reasonable about those feelings and not quite as over the top or rash about expressing them as one of the aforementioned placements would be
IMO, generally when people "attack others emotionally and break others down" regardless of whether or not they're "feeling guilt or pity" it is *because* they are sensitive and have been emotionally wounded, and are seeking revenge for emotional wrongs done to them. So while an air moon may allow this person to detach from their compassionate and empathetic nature somewhat while behaving like this, the action itself is still *emotionally* driven.

Sensitive and Scorpio are 2 words I've NEVER heard together in a sentence!? Scorpio's get knocked a lot on this site, for being exactly as you described yourself: "not sensitive...etc". I'm a Cancerian and none of my Scorpio friends are sensitive, sexy yes, empathetic and soft? No way, not the ones I know.
I always wondered that too and ALWAYS thought i had Gemini as my moon or asc. because it's hard for me to get hurt and i forget guys reaaally easily and could care less if a guy wants too leave me or if someone doesnt like me. but nope my moon and asc. sign is leo! But i still think its my Scorpio side that makes me so careless and strong.
