From a personal standpoint, I went out with both signs. I really had very good times for Virgo but she tended to analyze constantly, emotions and everything.
With Gemini, this in not a good match per se. Mercury ruling both signs, this may prove to be too much over the long haul. In Gemini, Mercury is calculating and logical; in Virgo it is critical and demanding.
