I have mars in aries in the 3rd which basically already means I say things rashly without thinking then, later when I do think (gemini sun and mercury, I think ALOT!) I realize I was being a jacka$$. To top it all off (the whip cream and cherry for the disaster sundae.....nuts...eh.....) my mars is the focal planet of a neptune-mars-jupiter T-square, so I'm doomed from the start. I have no other fire emphasis in my chart, and according to Bob Marks, that means it is emphasized even more. I feel like pulling hairs! I know we all say things we don't mean, it seems to be human nature. The key is....who is sorry and who is not. To be honest I am sorry for alot of things I've said in this life and I still have alot to go, so I'm in for it. That darn mars....always messing things up. So I suppose yeah fire signs (particularly aries) are "brash" and "do without thinking" (no disrespect to the aries because you guys got some really good stuff too, but this just isn't one of them). Oh........it's good to be back!
Yes, I do. Which is why I try to choose my words as carefully as I can. As Sag sun, it doesn't always happen, but I do my best.

Aries often get hurt after when they say things they didnt really mean (which happens a lot)
Leo often goes overboard, they regret but more often forgets.

Yeah I am an Aries (fire sign) and I feel guilty all the time. A few weeks ago I got in a fight with my ex (who is a Cancer, damn it) and I punched him (Aries think only after they do something). I got sooooooo depressed, I couldn't think about something else for about a week. At least I learned my lesson and I will never do that again.

Me too Isabelle. I'm a Sag, and I have the best intentions, but sometimes I say things in a forthright manner and really regret it afterwards; but only after the damage is done. Sometimes I can repair the damage with an apology and sometimes I can't. Yes, fire signs are more prone to being impulsive with words (Sag, in particular), and we know it, but it is our nature and that's just the way it is!
Not for me cause I always try to avoid doing anything that hurts peoples feeling. Respect is very important. We show respect to earned respect. By doing so, we minimize useless reactions from anyone, and don't forget to throw some smile, it's free and it doesn't cost anything...By the way, I am a Gemini, and I joke a lot. Oh god, if I had a dollar for everytime I said something that I should not have said or something came out the wrong way - I would have millions!
Having said that, I generally try to be specific when talking to others so that my words are never misconstrued or taken the wrong way.
You should never say things back in anger. It took me many years to work out that saying nothing is generally always better. Save your true feeling about things for your best friends that you can vent to and know they will never repeat.

I tend to say some of the meanest things to my bf that I really don't mean. I can be so cruel and it's such an impulse, I regret it tons afterwards!
But otherwise my other fire sign is in the generational Uranus, I do tend to say off the wall, random things on impulse. It was an issue for me with kids in middle school who were really judgemental! I tried to not say such random things for a while then I realized I don't care what those people think, they aren't worth my time anyway.

Yea I have that problem. Some people get the runs and I get it in the mouth... I blame my sag moon and leo ascendant for this trait! But I don't regret what I say ever! I thank my cap sun for the cold b*&$h I could be =)

I'm Virgo with Leo asc, mars, and moon. I also have Pluto conj Mercury and Pluto // Mars. I've learned not to completely destroy people I disagree with. Sometimes I'm tempted. But knowing I can is usually enough now. And yes, I have spoke rashly and later regreted it.
Never, ever, ever. I ALWAYS think what I'm going to say when angry. Words hurt much more than people think they do. I've never said anything in anger that I wouldn't say otherwise. I never attack when being attacked.
I'm a water sign but I have mars in aries and I must admit that when angered to a certain level I can be brutal with words. What makes things even worse is that I can easily get annoyed but since I have the tendency to suppress feelings I may endure too much but than suddenly strike carelessly. After it's all over and I have created a mess I end up feeling extremely guilty. Soon I need to think about the situation. My gemini mercury and virgo rising don't exactly make things any easier because I'm never low on personal guilt and such quarrels would only make me think badly of myself. I definitely regret it even though I didn't give it much thought the moment it happened.

And as weird as it may sound, (DESPITE having 5 Cap planets and 1 Scorpio one) I'm still very prone to it especially when I am least able to think clearly.
