Yes gemini does rule the arms and legs, and therefore is associated with dexterity (hence the ease geminis have with playing instruments). I have mercury and sun in gemini with my sun being both peregrine and on the aries point. Talk about a powerfully placed planet! I have always been ambidexterous, even as a young child I did things with both hands. My mom said I seemed to not prefer one or the other. As I grew older and began school, it seems for some reason or a nother I took to my right hand and began writing with it. Thus, I am actually right handed I suppose. To this day though I can and do do practically everything with both hands. I have always wondered what effects this has in palmistry, as it seemed in my youth I didn't have a dominant hand. They say things are always more comfortable with one hand than the other, and I won't lie.....things are a bit easier with my right. It's funny though, it depends on the thing. I have always prefered certain things with my left hand and certain things with my right. First time I picked up a guitar, I held it left-handed. However, first time I picked up a pencil, I did it with my right hand. Also I eat with both hands but I feel better using my left. I throw with ease with both hands (I've been told I should have been a pitcher because I had a talent for baseball and they said I could've been a switch-hander). Enough ramblin' though (gotta keep both eyes on the road!)
I say truth it is very much a gemini trait. Also I've noticed some virgo's have it, but that's possibly mercury's influence squeezing in a little. Still gemini's have the ability most it seems. Strong gemini as you say most likely means a well-aspected ascendant, sun, and/or moon in gemini. Also yes, mercury conjunct the asc. could be a good indicator of this (I know of a gemini rising with mercury on the asc. and he's very good at the bass and guitar, you should see his fingers move!). Maybe a critical MC in gemini, or mercury conjunct the MC receiving positive aspects. There are many things. I'm ramblin' too much here, it's the gemini (just keep tellin' yourself that......AAHHHH!!!!!!) but I think this should make some sense of things. Also I emailed you back ;-) Hope this justifies a little bit......if I think of more I'll edit.

If going by the zodiac thing my wife is Aquarius, and left handed. It's a known fact that left handed people are better at multi tasking because they use both sides of their brains at once.
Yup, I think there is definitely some truth to that. I know many geminis that are ambidextrous or left-handed. I think it's because gemini is such a versatile and creative sign, that they think with either both sides of their brain at once and creates confusion, or the intuitive and artistic side of the brain. I am ambidextrous myself and I'm gemini.

Ambidextrosity I would say Gemini. The twin in harmony. Intellect. Mercury of intellectual thought.
Left brain would be more aquarius. because left hand is responsible for creativity, unconventional thoughts, imagination, illogical, and subconscious mind, which is responsible for genius and knowledge beyond what should be known.
Also I am left-handed and tend to be daydreamy, unconvntional, lack concentration and understanding beyond explanation.

This is something that could be confirmed with statistics evidence. All Gemini sun signs could be considered as a strong influence. If there was majority of Geminis are left-handed you may indeed have a point.
Try an informal test. Major league baseball players are listed for which hand they throw with. Find out how many players have Gemini sun signs. Then see how they throw. Stats don't lie.
Edit: One person says so out of a hundred does not mean it's true. Others have to repeat the testings to eliminate possible errors. Statistical evidence can be astrology's best proof because it may confirm traits. Since there are only really two choices and the strongest influence should be a Gemini sun. This stat should stand out like a sore thumb. But genetics seem to do a better job as being right handed is a dominant gene. Good left-handed players in baseball are in big demand due to the rarity.
Edit: Most people can use both hands on somethings but one is going to be dominate. Coordination is what you need. If you kick a ball, one side is going to be prefered. Same with vision. If you ever shot pool or darts, everything on one side of the body has to line up.
I am totally ambidexterous. The only reason I write with my right hand is because I was kept from using my left in school, back then it was wrong. I can write with my left hand but not as smoothly. I practice now and then, should something ever happen to my right hand. But everything else I do is done with my left hand. I can switch hit, and shoot pool better left-handed. I kick with my left foot, I am a 'goofy-foot' for those that know how that applies.
Playing complex controler video games, I have to set to left handed player. If I don't, I walk into walls and shoot at the sky.
What about Gemini in all this? I have studied astrology for many years and through all my life experience, I have never come across a left handed Gemini. Most lefties I know are of the Water or Earth signs.

There very well may be a link between Gemini and ambidexterity, but it won't be found in the Sun sign.

I am ambidextrous. I write and eat left-handed and do everything else right-handed. Although I should be totally right-handed as I am right brain dominant, I was a rebellious child and was determined to be left-handed when I was being taught to write. However, I can write right-handed, but much more slowly.
I think Chainlightning has come up with a good idea for a research project. It would be interesting to know what sun sign most ambidextrous people are. I would also want to know the mercury sign and information about the 3rd house.
I'm Ambidextrous, a Leo Sun and rising . My Gemini placement is in Mars. I can write with both hands easily and legibly but use my left hand for most other things. I bat and shoot right handed though so??? Could be the way I was raised, not sure. Very interesting topic though, I never really thought about it.
Oh, I just thought of something for you astrology experts...Gemini Mars and Ambidextrous, hmmmmm.

Interesting Question, can't help but add in a little more of what's been mentioned ..
It's actually been proven that the right/left dimensions of the brain correspond diametrically opposite to the hands i.e. The Right hand actually corresponds to the left brain (logical, rational, analytical, cold hard facts) and the Left hand corresponds to the right brain (faculty of intuition, psychic vibes, feeling part)...
Gemini being a dual human sign, is probably the best sign that incorporates the yin-yang theory, at least intellectually speaking since it is a predominantly thinker sign. Some excellent answers above...so I feel if ambidexterity is prevalent in Gemini-influenced people, it does make sense as they are often trying to live out the 2 different facets of their personality.
I'm a Gemini (born June 17) and I'm a right handed, but I can used my left hand with no problem. I noticed though that my left hand is stronger than my right hand (hand wrestling) and I was a long distance runner starting at age 15. My younger sister is a left handed, but not a Gemini. I think that left handed exist to all Zodiac signs. I can solved a problem very easily (don't ask me why) compared to others. I think that I am using two brains instead of one, but my mind wonders a lot (day dreaming?). Okey, I'm not trying to exaggerate but I'm telling you how I feel and what I can do. So I disagree that Gemini's are left handed (maybe some). But one of the Gemini's I know (maybe two...) are left handed.
I also know that there are right-handed people that were left-handed when they were starting to write (as a kid) but was told to and trained to write with their right hand. It's sad when you try to change things that are just starting...
