Well the whole chart can either back up what I'm going to say or it can re-direct things. But with this, here's what I have to say.
A venus in libra is very good, it is dignified. This placement suggests an affinity for art and even artistic talent (many musicians have venus in libra or taurus). You love children and yours (if you have them) are probably quite beautiful. You generally are lucky in partnerships, but venus's aspects need to be looked at as well as juno and it's aspects and placement. Also, you are very romantic and you fall head over heels when in love.
Mars is a different story. It is in fall here, meaning it's energies are "watered" down so to speak. You don't like fighting, you believe in using a shield rather than a sword. You also avoid confrontations and hate choosing sides due to the fact that you know you will upset someone for not choosing to agree with them. Mars is sex as well, and you are romantic in the bedroom. You tend to enjoy sex alot and are a generous lover (especially if mars receives positive aspects and/or is placed in the 4th, 5th, 7th, or 11th house).
The way to learn to "fight for yourself" with mars here is to simply do what you know how to do (rather you know it or not, you have it in you to do so): assess things properly. You can look at both sides of the conflict, then decide who is right and who is wrong. Then, state your opinion, telling the person you believe is wrong why you believe so. But don't be negative; break it to them gently, and let them know that they aren't bad for thinking the way they do, they simply just need to see another perspective. Speaking as someone with Venus and Mars in Libra we definitely can and do fight for ourselves; we just pick our battles. We want everything to be beautiful. We want everything to balance and to make sense in the world. Life will be easier once the Venus/Mars Libra realizes that not everyone wants or cares about the same sense of justice fair-play and sportsmanship that we do.
It takes a lot for us to fight. We are not as concerned about fighting for ourselves as we are fighting and defending the underdog.
If the fight is for you it will take a lot to get you to the point where you get angry enough to stand up for yourself. And once you do get that angry generally it will feel like Mt. St. Helen's boiling inside of you. Everything you ever thought about the person will come out. You won't be able to stop it. It will feel like an out of body experience. You won't like that side of yourself and you won't even believe it was you.
The advantages: we love deeeply and truly, we bring balance and beauty to our homes, offices, families and friends. We do Devil's advocate better than anyone.
Disadvantages: yes, we can be indecisive when it's something we can take or leave. We tend to give people to many benefits of the doubt. We can be be fickle and flaky.
