how can you predict events????

Astrology can 'predict' future trends like lucky transit periods (usually involving Jupiter, Moon, Venus contacts) whereby the chances of meeting someone special seem more favorable than usual.

However, bearing your question in life, i highly recommend an experienced palmist who is able to read into your marriage, children and love life. This would be indicated by little horizontal lines under the pinkie. In addition, the type of mate you marry and whether you relocate can also be foretold on your palms. This would be done by looking at the life line, combined with travel lines and Mound of Moon area..

Mine did an excellent job of prediction in that aspect of life - he was dead on accurate for the recent past, present situation - and so i am keeping a lookout for the future trends he has indicated as well...

You can't... =/

1st - Need your place of Birth
to get your Birth chart

Birth charts tell things about you
in different Parts of your life
They don't predict events

Astrology can only tell you about influences in your life. For example, the sort of partner you will be attracted to, and whether you will marry later in life or maybe not at all. Astrology does not "predict" that you will meet someone named Sammy on Tuesday and will be married three weeks later. Your life isn't carved in stone. You have Free Will to chose (for right or wrong) who you marry. Astrology is only a guide... not a script.

Don't go by these. Horoscopes were thought up by astrologers relating to the star constellation the sun was at on the day you were born. But since they created this system the constellations have shifted so you are not the sign you think.

Once you meet someone you can do synastry, which is comparing both charts. I had a professional astrologer do this years ago with my chart and my love's chart. She saw our sun and moon combine some way in a certain number of years, which she interpreted as marriage. Lo and behold marriage came up right around the time she mentioned, even though it didn't look too good between us at the time I had the synastry done.

Astrology can indicate times when types of events are more likely to occur through Solar Arc, Progressions, and transits. There are no guarantees.

You can look into what Magi astrologers call "Cinderella transits".

What Safyre said, I could not possibly say more succinctly.

You would turn to synastry to compare your chart with that of another person, once you had a prospect, but this would simply describe how the two of you would interact, not predict a marriage.

Transits and progressions are two methods of determining trends in one's life.

For example, if Venus were transiting your 4th house it may signal a good time to get married (depending on several other factors), or perhaps a proposal may take place, *or* you may instead find the perfect sofa for your living room. A friend may come visit in your home. There are lots of ways Venus transiting the 4th could express, but Venus represents love, females,art/music, beauty, finances, partnerships, moving through the fourth house these things would be expressed in one's home, and/or through one's family.

Of course, because Venus takes about a year to move through the zodiac, we each have a period of Venus transiting our fourth house every year. This means Venusian transits are often more like catalysts, or act as triggers for "larger" aspects--say something taking place with Jupiter, which takes about 12 years to move through the zodiac (so Jupiter would transit your 4th house once every 12 years, compared to Venus, transiting your 4th house once every 12 months or so).

...so one uses astrology to analyze trends, but as far as specifically dating events like births, marriages, deaths, etc., that's just not the way it works, even though some would lead you to believe otherwise.

http://www.cafeastrology.com is a good site where you can self-educate about astrology, including learning about things like synastry, transits, and progressions. There are other good sites, but at the moment, cafeastrology is a URL I can easily recall that has good write-ups for transit meanings, etc.

Safyre still has the best answer here.
