About Sagittarius and Cancer...do they fight?!
Question: I'm a Sagittarius and I can't stand my sister-in-law's sister-in-law (lol). She's so emotional and possessive (a Cancer), and I can't stand it. Once, I was on vacation in California visiting my sister-in-law's family and there was a sign that said "County line Road and I said, "Oh! We have one of those in back in Broken Arrow. That's cool," since it reminded me of home. She then shot back with this snotty, "Oh wow...who really cares? You're not there anymore now are you? Oklahoma's crap anyway." I mean she's a real *****. Are Sagittarius and Cancer known for not getting along?

Kind of. Individuality counts for something - as someone above me pointed out, there are very happy Cancer/Sagittarius couples out there. But the signs are different enough that if you don't both actively like each other... YES. The fights will probably be epic.
I kinda know where you're coming from, as Aries shares traits with Sagittarius. Let me guess: she seems passive-aggressive a lot, then comes out of nowhere with a nasty comment? She kind of turns her nose up (or even takes offense) at friendly overtures on your part? Does she do the silent treatment thing a lot?
Cancer is both emotional and possessive, and Sagittarius is kind of... how should I put this? Impulsive? Headstrong? To a Cancer, a lot of what Sagittarius does is going to come off as disrespectful, as if you don't respect her opinions, her boundaries, her emotions, her possessions, any of it. You probably don't have nearly as many buttons to push, at least as far as those things go, so to you it's going to look like she's just looking for excuses to take offense and getting upset over nothing. And, once upset... think about how a goat fights when you get it mad, and how a crab fights. Very different, right? And almost designed to frustrate each other and exacerbate an already bad situation!
Best advice would be just to give her space and stay away from her as much as possible. You'll still probably rub each other the wrong way (because, if the exchange you quoted is any indication, she sounds like she's just a b**** anyway, Cancer or no Cancer), but a Cancer in a bad mood really should just be left alone until they come out of it.
Cancer & Sagittarius

I don't know, but I'm a sag & my brother's a cancer, and we only get along when we're hundreds of miles apart. Otherwise, we'll fight, and I mean FIGHT.
She's really bitter and cruel for no reason. If it were me, I'd have asked her what just crawled up her @ss and died. Seriously, some people just love to be the center of attention. I guess she feels like you're moving in on her territory, and now she's jealous.
Cancers are cautious and love to stay at home. Sagittarius is a born risk taker who'd much rather be on a round-the-world vacation. Cancer feels loads of resentment at the Sagittarius free willing philosophy. So YES arguments will occur.
in a friendly way no.. my best friend is sag and she had a friend who was cancer.. she is very annoying.. once we were in loos and the cancer goes to the sag: "imagine if the door fell on you and broke your neck".. we were just thinkin wot a ****?? more recent than that the cancer girl is bein acting really selfishly and my sag friend doesnt want 2 hear from her anymore.. so yes no, they are not very good friends!!

Wow, she may have some other issues. I'm a Cancer and I get along just fine with Sagittarius'. But really has to do with other planets in your charts that makes up compatibility. She sounds like she doesn't like you for some reason. Maybe you should ask her what her problem is.
