even when they are proved to be fake...the question is " proved by whom ?" . By those sceptics who already had had a rigid , against " astrology " frame of mind before starting the research into it ?.
A result concluded from a scientific experiementation is NOT neccessarily RIGHT. It is just a conclusion and nothing more. It is not RIGHT until it has gone through intense , lengthy , persistent , further research.
There is a downfall in science , too often , scientists are in favour of their project/prediction to be right ( that is they want what they have in mind/their personal opinion towards a particular research to be right subconciously ) . Hence, they are more likely to produce a conclusion that is in favour of their opinions. But most of the time, they are wrong.
EDIT : As I said, science has its blindspot. It attempts to prove everything and unless something fits the scientific rules/standards , that thing is all mumbo-jumbo. There are so many mad scientists nowaday that are too rigid and analytical to acknowledge that there is something beyond explanations. Science itself is not a sure thing , new laws/new rules will soon take over the old ones. Using science to explain physical, tangible , biological thing is good and appropriate . However, using it to explain spiritual thing ....well it is going to end in vain, may I say. Someone said astrology is not science....ok...that might be true , but astrology can be true ....that is totally possible. Science claim stars and planets have no affect on humans...how would they know that ? Since environment, nature , atmosphere, and further more...love and emotional, and other untangible things affect all of us in a great way ...then why cant the planets do the same thing ?Science can not explain it that doesnt mean its not real .

proved fake by who?just because someone cant prove something doesnt mean its fake.
its either 2 things, its either astrology is fake, or we dont have the knowledge or the resources to practically prove it. if we didnt have scopes do you think we would see what atoms are? or prove that they even exist? then proof is just a guarantee of something.
your right horoscopes are generalized, ask any decent astrologer and they couldnt agree with you more about that one. when it does come true to one person is it coincidence or the real thing? either of them is possible, but daily horoscopes are really meant for entertainment purposes only, coz the last thing they want for people to believe in astrology is to have an idea like "look at your horoscope, if its true then its real if its not then its not" most likely it wouldnt be. Horoscopes i would say is just a knock on the door, your choice if you open it or not, put them in the newspapers/websites/magazines and people could be intrigued, thats advertising right there.
why do people still believe in astrology? thats a good question since its fake and all and cant be proven, what is it that keeps people believing? people who believe in them are not stupid, they dont waste time on something if its all crap.
you dont need other people to give you proof about astrology, just check it for yourself. get a birth chart then hang around this section and ask some questions about it, coz thats the best way to prove astrology right now, proving it to yourself, you are a living proof of your behaviours and your experiences, all you really need to do is see if its really you.
some people are so stuck up about on how its bullshit and its a scam, astrology is about life, and knowing even a simple truth about it. people still believe not because someone told them to, but because they know in themselves its true
you know what ive realized? that people who actually believe in astrology are ussualy people that are smarter than your average person, much aware of things that are going on in themselves and their lives. as for the ones who cant grasp the idea of it, you can ask them coz i wouldnt know.

i know my word isnt proof, but if they really know themselves and we really listen to ourselves, then maybe they would understand more, coz they dont know what theyre missing out.
its one thing to be a critic about a subject but its another thing to be ignorant and criticizing it, most of the people who complain about astrology doesnt even know what a moon sign is, this just shows that people are initially scared and go from there, without even a clue on what theyre against in the first place.. only a repulsion in the idea of it

Because we want to believe in them. Why is it any of your business in the first place? If you don't believe in them because of what you studied then that's your problem. Who cares what you think. And, even though you say this isn't an attack or anything that's exactly how it's going to come off to some people. If Astrology makes sense to us that believe in it then leave it at that. You have your own choice and beliefs and so do we. If you believe and think it's so fake then get out of the horoscope section. It's as simple as that. And another thing, just because your studies say this and that about Astrology does not mean your right. People like you can't believe in something they can't understand.
Go ahead and make it an attack if it does not make sense. Just don't make it personal and stick to the argument.
Physical evidence is not there. There is nothing to detect and measure. Even statistical evidence will not validated astrology. Only with strict scientific testing can astrologers eliminate self-deception and what is false.

It can't work. No consistency and too many exceptions. There is no theory of astrology.
Another common answer will be "you can't know something unless you go study it" or words to that effect. There are people here that have "studied" this subject for years, even decades. So what are the results of your studies? When will these "professionals" publish their results so others can respond? Has anyone come close to providing any evidence for astrology that can be tested?
If there was, get your plane ticket to Sweden for your Nobel Prize. It is that big of a deal. You will have destroyed the laws of physics.
Never be afraid to question anything. Remember, extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof.
Edit: Why is astrology still around? Money. Hundreds of millions are made on the Internet, books, readings, jewelry, and other trinkets. It's a business based on belief and business is good.
Edit: Seems Ryan has been spending years studying things he does not like or trust. Where does astrology do better than science? Science is not perfect but it does deliver. You can live without astrology but you need science. It takes lives and saves lives. Science is neutral, what people do with it is the difference. Ask the premature babies that survive because of science to talk about their birth sign. It is not perfect, just the best we have.
