for me Feng Shui is a "Theoretical Approach" for practical living (common sense).
for example:
feng shui: the front door should be facing the morning sun.
practical sense: morning sun is cooler than afternoon sun. you don't want entering your front door on a hot afternoon.
feng shui: putting an indoor plant beside your computer reduces negative energy.
practical sense: computers can be eye-straining, the plant, in a sense can help humidify the area around your work area, giving a little moisture in the air to comfort your eyes.
well, these are just simple practical or common sense explanation. feng shui just puts numbers, formulas and some fancy words for it. i used to believe in feng shui, until i realized the whole thing is just common sense.
do what you think is best for your lifestyle. and eventually you won't need any of those people who sucks every penny in you just to be prosperous.
Your enviornment in a reflection of what is going on inside of you. So getting your enviornment in order is a way of getting you inner self in order. Once you get your outer self and inner self organized you can then dedicate your energy into what goals you are striving for.

yes there are energy wihch affect every indivisual in a certain manner but what i belive is that its your own energy which effects you more and rest of it do a minor effect on you.
we find more positve enery if we go to a temple,church,mousque as perople realse the positive energy while praying and it effect as all of us.we get some kind of soothing effect there but you have to have that positivness to gain from it.
if you have high negative energy then it wont work for you.
