Does cold reading play a large part in astrology?!
Question: Actual astrology as opposed to the horoscopes, has very little to do with cold reading or interpretations. It is what it is. You have a very specific set of data points as far as where the stars are in relation to one another and that is just like a legend on a map. You place the celestial bodies in the appropriate houses and that tells you where things are influencing other things the strongest. It will not tell you when the tall dark man will walk through your door because life is fluid and requires your choices.
Where things get interesting is that we are not raised in boxes so the starting point is not the ending point. We are influenced heavily by our environment and how we were raised. That makes the personal astrology stuff, a starting point at best.
