Okay, so if you were to ask "who is a good example of a Leo"? That would be me. My rising, sun, moon, mercury, and venus are ALL in leo lol.
Basically, we have a weird kind of duality. We're strong and bold, and fragile at the same time. The only thing we're scared of is making a fool out of ourselves. Our egos are big, but only because they're so easily damaged. But once our ego is "okay enough" we aren't afraid of anything.
But if our ego is damaged...ouch. I would rather fight someone with a bat than have my ego damaged. That's why we act so tough all the time. We aren't really trying to make other people feel bad. We're just so worried about looking bad.
Some leos lash out when their egos get hurt. But I just try to prove "you" wrong. Like if my Mom tells me I'm stupid for doing something, I'll just try even harder to be perfect (I'm 15 1/2).
As for being jealous...not really. Not for me anyway. If I see something I like, I'll just work to get it or something. And independant, we are...but only to a point. We need at least one person who we can always go to who will say "You're okay" or "You're not bad". Once we have that, we roar.
I can tell you more on YIM or e-mail if you want. You really won't find someone more leo than I am lmao.
They also have sensitive egos which can bruise easily - if people don't give them the respect or attention they feel they deserve - they're wounded. If you ever see a Leo being totally shunned by those around him - you will see a tormented soul.
Ah Leo men....love'em.....If a beautiful woman is smart enough to be above and beyond one of his usual subservient subjects, she can be a sexy ringmaster teasing a circus lion standing on a podium, doing tricks for her.... just because she feeds him some flattery.
Well I read that Leos are usually insecure inside (some of them fake being confident) and over time they build up confidence and strength which is a goal they should aspire to.

are alone with no one around them, they
get pretty insecure and i noticed i can
be sensitive as a scorpio but i just hide
it. so i helped out the Leo by sticking to
them so we are kind of friends. but ican
so tell we don't get along so great since
they keep wanting to be leaders and also
want attention from me. & that's 2 things
i'll never give. lol but whenver they are
down i'm always willing to help them since
i understand how it can be to be sensitive :]
if the leo have a good family background, his/her security in life would be strong. only then can a leo be bold and independent. leos are the "eternal child", while it is often misinterpreted as "childishness", two very different terms. what makes a leo strong is their "faith". once the trials come they easily get up and face it.
Yup. Leo's supposed to be strong, bold and independence. But the feeling of insecurity comes from the ego that they have. It bruise easily. Reason? They hate it the most when their ideas or thinking is rejected by others. Jealous? A leo hates it the most when they can't dominate over everything. That is why they tend to be jealous when other people dominates it over them.
