What is the difference between a spirit and an echo?!

Question: A spirit is a force that influences the will of people. A spirit can be an anonymous force responsible for the atmosphere in a meeting of people, or for the mood within a person, it can also be as personal as the spirit of other people who shape our daily actions. It is called a spirit because it relates not to matter but to mind, soul, and feelings. Spirits can be loving, harmless or dangerous, fleeting or powerful, discreet or haunting, helping or hurting. They can inhabitate places, memories, books, or people.

Echoes are reflected off hard surfaces like walls and mountains. An Echo can be explained as a wave that has been reflected as the discontinuity in the propagation medium, and returns with certain magnitude and delay to be perceived.

HUH?

Interesting question though.

Anyway, my take is that spirit is essentially an inherent part of you - body, mind, spirit - all these 3 are inseparable in one package. Spirit is the highest rung of the ladder, so as to speak. Whether one is aware of it or not is another issue.

Echo is that emptiness, hollowness that follows when you are too caught up with the Ego, because the echo originates from your own voice. There is no answer in itself, because it's simply a reflection of your own thought processes. In simple terms, there is no Life present in an echo.

There..makes me feel like I'm back to taking Philosophy 101 classes at college again....love it though! can you tell why I chose to opt out of single-majoring the subject eventually? I'd been a suicidal case in my early 20s, driving myself crazy with questions and no answers...:-P
